3v3 Ranger build?

I know ranger isn't in a good place in pvp atm but is there a solid build for ranger? I've been running between Core Valk and Condi Trapper and bounced from silver, to the top of gold almost into plat, and back down to the bottom of gold and risk deranking. I lost my temper again the other day after a massive losing streak. The game seems hellbent to make my experience as horrible as possible. There are games that are outright unwinnable and it's really hard to keep going in a competely hopeless situation.  I can't even analyze why I lose half these games because I'm just immediately pounded into dust.  If I kite at all, my team is dead in my place and I'm left playing chicken 1v3 until I am out of ways to run away. Please, if anyone can help me. I've swallowed my pride and put my past high rank seasons behind me. I accept that I suck compared to the people who have ascended that wall between being "okay" and "good". I just want to improve and play a class I like.

Ranger is very good in pvp. Not quite broken good, but very strong. 3v3 is a dumb mess and your rating will bounce around unless you have a real comp with a premade. The best ranger build in 3v3 is probably sicem soulbeast vs tanky comps or condi immob spam when paired with other condi builds.

Just run necro, everything they have is either great or op.

I wouldn’t play valk- it could work against off meta comps but idk why you would try.

 

just play core trap ranger- it’s technically very strong in 3s, it’s only weakness would be the triple necro comps since they are so tanky and you would die from aoe.

 

if you end up playing against triple necro a lot you can play the warhorn sic em skirmishing build where you just pop the elite stance and burst them- even then you might lose but at least you have a chance of 1 shotting a scourge allowing you team time to do stuff

condi soulbeast is decent, ranger in 3v3 is decent almost any way you make it, but if you face the kitten 3x scourge or 2x scourge + X comps you are gonna get wrecked. You just cant deal with their kitten unfortunately,

People should have more than one build at hand and should switch skills accordingly. Only scourge has the privilege of not needing to switch up much since it was designed for teamfights with huge area denial and the fact it scales with itself makes it terribly hard to crack since it is easy to play in group. Also is kinda lame going vs full bunker team that tries to win from pure boredom, but you have to adapt to cheese and play their game by bunkering up or getting skills to crack it. 

For example having a gank burst build is not that great for all rounds but switching for the first one is good as surprise, since a second time it will not work, so after you switch to something different trapper, valk or even support, because you will become the target if they smell you as a burster.

I know it is annoying that there is no skeleton key build for each profession, but 3v3 has allot of space for buildcraft and ease of use since the templates came in so it makes it a little more of a tactical between rounds.

These would have to be Eu ppl telling you this.

 

it is considered so far below meta on Na that it would be considered laughable.

 

as far as I know ppl on Eu play burstier stuff as meta- but legend wasn’t even a guaranteed top 10 spot on Na whereas last I checked plat2 was top 10 on Eu

There is no "solid build" for ranger pretty much anything else is better than ranger.

This builds is very good in 3 vs 3 to counter scourge kitten spam. What you need to know is that you need to build whole team not just single build and this is where this build shines. To make best of potential from this build i played it with scourge friend because its perfect synergy. It is much better to take this druid than stack 2 scourges because you have strong cc allowing your scourge to cast while in same time disabling enemies and dealing massive dmg. Staff doesn t get projectile hated and is nice cc with primal echoes which can procs while cced and also on entering ca or exit. You can just land one daze on enter cele avatar than instant skill 5 natural convergance which can delete ppl alone and not to mention ancient seeds proc+drake+jacaranda. You also have glyph of stars which can t be corrupted and punish scourge stacking and also provides nice rezz without entering those circles spam. For berskerker amulet and not having wildernes you provide insane utility while being main spike dmg in team aswell as cleave but you need coordinated team. I know im late to write this but anyway wanted to share it for next seasons. I got top 250 title just buy doing minimal games rq and i felt i could push this build to legendary of 3 vs 3 if i had full commited team but i mostly solo/duo.  For making it top build you need to build team like taking scourge and temptest with you which pretty much can play meta builds and you will dominate as offmeta build and surprise factor in team. I usually hate this gamemode because ranger rly felt like impossible mission there but this build made me enjoy this gamemode and rly found everything on it strong and even meta breaking especially in terms of scourge stacking.
