2 new rings can't be salvaged

Marionette ascended ring "Energy Regulator Cog" and World Boss Rush ascended ring "Pact Vigilance Signet", both can't be salvaged with the Ascended Salvage Kit.

The folowing 4 trinkets cannot be salvaged either:

• First Spear's Icon (Path of Fire Act I Mastery)
• Amulet of Celebration (8th Birthday)
• Saga's End Draconic Core (Ice Brood Saga)
• Fractal Troubleshooter's Star (Fractal Rush)

 

I know the Heart of Thorns story mastery amulets couldn't be salvaged for until some years later.

Extract the +10 infusion and delete them (Cog/Vigilance Signet) because you can't Mystic Forge them so they're basically unusable as rings.

The Amulet of Celebration and Saga's End Draconic Core have visuals so it is probably a safety measure (granted the amulet of celebration can be repurchased and the visual is from the enrichment). Fractal Troubleshooter's Star is fine as it is an accessory and you only lose 18 precision vs Berserker's which is easily made up by fractal potions, use it on holosmith or a skirmishing power soulbeast for example.

But even after you remove the enrichment from the celebration amulet, it becomes the same as any other amulet, and still is unable to be salvaged, so the point remains.

Their point is that it is not a bug, it is intended to be unsalvageable/unupgradeable.

Please react with a confused emoji if you can't tell the difference between intended behavior and a bug.

Yes, all besides First Spear's Icon are probably intended not to be salvaged.

 

Though with the Amulet of Celebration there is a case to be made, because the Ancient Norn Cape Pin (Significant Otter) was salvagable. Both have an enrichment with an aura and both are acquired through an achievement.

Kole's Tormented Eye is also unsalvageable.

Exotic Sunset Amulet can't be salvaged either.  It is a craftable, tradeable item so that seems a bit odd.
