Um...they've raised the limit 6 different times in the last 5 years.  Not sure that's the reason for the bug.

Unless theres an issue with the number of inventory slots(total + shared) being over a certain limit. We probably wont know though.

The last time it was increased was 2018.

They were on sale 10 times since then and every single times the first question people asked was "did they increase the limit?" 

 

I would buy 15 more if I could for full price.

I assumed the reason they were being so vague about it is because it's some sort of exploit and they don't want to give details so people can't used that information to work out what other types of exploits might be possible. But there are other bugs they don't give any details on (like all the times patch notes just say 'fixed a server crash') so it might be something else.

 

But it's nothing to do with your account, everyone who has a level 80 boost is in the same situation and just waiting for Anet to fix it.

I sure hope you are right about increasing number of shared slots available for purchase. As it is now, I think I will hold off purchasing EoD. I never got a straight answer about the inability to buy the 24th slot (for accounts with the HoT/PoF bundle). And now accounts that had 24 shared slots get 25 if they purchase EoD.
