What new map environments do you expect coming with EOD in cantha?

Whereas I'm fan of traditional Chinese / Japanese architectural styles, bamboos, forests, foggy mountains or extravagant/unique rock spires and temples; would definitely like seeing environments going outside the very common ones we saw around core tyria or the two previous expansions.

Firstly, with all the harbors, skiffs shown in the different extracts in the streams, the pirates theme could be present, beyond aetherblades, I speak of regular pirates and thieves.

Surely cantha isn't a 100% secure place, and beyond clans fights, there could be case of assassinations, disappearance and so on. Potentially some shady deals. A place for various evil factions or organizations we know in Tyria and Cantha to trade. Can be for the player a place of good deals that change every week.

With all the coasts that Cantha have, on the main continent, or on shing sea island, a corsair marketplace/ city / outpost can find a place:

With the rebuild of Lion's arch, there is no corsair city anymore. Only what can be called a flotilla, at the north of Istan.

Secondly, Tyria isn't really a place where you can enjoy holidays properly. There is no real peaceful beach anywhere apart the consortium outpost in southsun cove. The second may be the mabon market in caledon forest. Beyond temples on hills or in forests, it is possible to melt the architecture and the beach atmosphere. Fully peaceful beaches without foes are non-existent in Tyria.

Frankly, temples are versatile and can be put anywhere because of the divinities they refer too: On the summit on a mountain, on a volcano, in a forest, near a lake, the other day even saw in the news a temple underwater with the chinese sanctuary arch submerged, red Torii gate. It is the occasion to place some sancuaries and secret passageways in cliffside or underwater. I can see an achievement or a quest of visit all the sanctuaries and pay respect to its altar.

Thirdly underground. There are not a lot in core tyria, and most are just caves/excavations, with a few being dwarven ruins. But never real long catacombs, sewer systems nor let's say a regular industrial steam factory/water purification system or heavy machinery. With technology advancement, even a prototype abandoned metro station Cantha is a huge continent, and the wastes surely go somewhere, also if the underground sytem is as big as the surface one, it is enough for a strange facility or hideouts like shown in stream or the art during the 15 mins countdown:

Will end with this last one, since Dragonjade is surely an energy used around cantha, I'm dying to see finally, in gw2, steampunk / cyberpunk / high tech environments. It doesn't necessarily need to be straight Sci-Fi movie, and I'm thinking directly of some districts of Kainerg. Pipes, Neons, dark stones... Overall, yes, surely keeping the baracks/chinese architecture style but with technology, pipes and neons in it, even flashy signs:

Note: Only my expectations, everyone will have different ones at the end surely, matters of tastes and colors as always.

I'm not even sure what to expect, but they did hint that a large number of things would change from the events around the world.

Zhaitan's flood probably would've had the largest impact. We've seen this  with Amnoon and Lion's Arch. We'll probably see flooded sections of the city. This would be perfect for a Crimson Skull takeover, if those guys are still around. The death of Zhaitan means that the sea dragon has death magic, so we might also see themes of undead roaming the city.

Balthazar is dead and we killed him. According to this wiki article on his statues, there were a lot of statues of him in Cantha. It will be interesting if those statues are still around and if the humans still hold him in high regards. Will they lose faith in the gods? Will they take comfort in that the gods are still around? Faith can influence culture a great deal.
