Magic Find in PvP?

Hey all,

what is the idea of having an increased magic find in pvp? The current pvp bonus gives 200% increased MF, but i have no idea at which point i do benefit from this.

I would guess it gives some benefit when you open boxes, but I mean yea, MF in general is pretty useless. I have MF capped and other than Lunar New Year and a slight increase in rare and exo drop rate, MF is useless anyway. I think they tack it on cause it gives people fantasies of getting precursor and ascended chest drops which probably helps motivate people to do content.

The ones where the desription say they are affected and also the ones which simulate Mob-drops (Name is e.g. NPC-type + cache), you can find more details in the wiki:
