Given 5 digit SMS codes when 6 digits are required.

My accounts have been inaccessible since yesterday early morning due to a required SMS verification. I have no idea why the SMS verification has become necessary but it is active on all six of my accounts however I have not been supplied a suitable 6 digit SMS code to satisfy the login requirements. I have been furnished with 3 codes thus far and all 3 codes have only been 5 digits in length. Why would 5 digit codes be supplied multiple times when 6 digits are required?

 

I created a trouble ticket and received a response late yesterday the the SMS verification would be removed however I needed to create another ticket using the email account associated with the GW2 account in question (I have a separate email account for regular use). I made the new ticket yesterday. I received the third SMS code via text message this morning however it again only contained 5 digits. I have replied a couple of times via email to the current trouble ticket with no response.

 

This process has been disheartening to say the least. The lack of reply/involvement from Anet CS has been extremely frustrating especially when the problem was no fault of my own and seems to only require a few mouse clicks on their end for resolution. I am extremely disappointed in the customer support thus far.

 

I'm willing to entertain any possible options to further this process along.

I tried to log into my alt accounts and I must have hit 4 that I hadn't tried since this issue began. I received 4 additional SMS codes via text... and yes... they were all 5 characters in length and of absolutely no use to me. The frustration continues.

Have you tried adding zeroes to make it 6 digits? (12345 = 012345)

Erm all the SMS codes that I've ever been sent are 5 digits long and work perfectly whenever I put them into box when I try to log into the game via the login client or into my account on the website.

Yes, I tried adding a zero to the beginning and the end. I also tried to add the # symbol. When I input the 5 characters the submit button is greyed out and nonfunctional. When a 6th character is added the button is functional however the code is incorrect.

You could try forcing it. Login through account.arena.net and when prompted for the code, enter it, but don't continue. Press F12 to open the console (select the console tab) and enter the following command to submit it:

document.getElementsByTagName("form")[0].submit();
