Stop death shroud

Hi all, i would like to know if there is any way to cancel or stop death shroud once activated, because i was playing wvw with my necro with full death shroud bar, and in two ocassions my opponents were somehow able to do it. The first time was in a 1vs1 fight and the second time was in a small scale fight.

Press F1 again and you will stop the Death Shroud. 

 

If you mean another player cancelling yours that is not possible, however damage impacts the death shroud. So if you are receiving damage your bar will go down faster. 

 

As always a video showing the skill bar and combat log would be most helpful to explain to you why is this happening.

It is technically possible, someone could transform him into a moa by either using the mesmer elite Signet of Humility or the core engineer toolbelt skill Toss Elixir X.

To stop it yourself.. press F1 again.

 

To end someone else’s… outside of transforming them into something else… the only way is to hit them really really hard or otherwise just do a lot of damage to them… while death shroud is active it doesn’t just slowly consume life force over time, life force replaces your hit points for the duration. So any damage you take in death shroud is dealt to your life force instead of your hit points. If you take enough damage to reduce your life force to 0, shroud ends right then and there.

Ah I don't know, there might actually be a bug that prevents you from going into shroud.

This happened to me like 3 times since PoF launch.

So it's not really consistent. 

And it only happened against thieves.

Press F1 > get interrupted somehow even though it's an instant cast> die to the thief.

 

It's extremely annoying if that happens, but it's not happening often enough to recognize a pattern.

A weird lag might be the cause as well.

Server lag might do it, too. Even if you properly punch F1 and transform on your local machine, the server may be ahead of your machine calculating another's actions on you and send the effect a split second late.
