That's what I'm talking about

Feels like Warlord armor dual sword warrior tbh.

Seems like a heavy profession. And only Guard remains to get dual swords. But I'm willing to debate on thief dual swords too. Those 2 work imo.

Nah that helm looks like the leather tier Warlord helm.

My bet is thief with OH sword. Could still be a evil guardian spec with OH sword though. The color scheme says more thief than guardian to me though.

Why exactly do you think heavy armor here? My first thought was that it is a medium armor user with some hard leather elements like the helmet.

From the colours (that dark red on the helmet), my first guess would have been it is a thief.

Yeah on a second look I think the helm is open and may hint more towards a medium Armored spec.

The boots look too heavy and large and the leggings seem like heavy Warlord set. But that's on first glance. I just don't write OH sword for Guard out of the table yet.

I'm defo getting more of a Medium Armour vibe out of this than Heavy. Plus Thief Dual Wielding Twin Swords is an easy reference to Shiro Tagachi since Thief is like the spiritual successor to Assassin and Shiro did have Twin Swords instead of daggers in Factions.

Right on.

I hope they bring back the Lead Attack -> OH Attack -> Dual Attack chains.

Copying from another thread:

"Hrrrmn. The helmet looks heavy, but that's not conclusive in itself - some medium sets do have helmets. Rest of the armour... overall has more of a medium than heavy feel, but he DOES look like he might be wearing greaves.

Both thief and guardian are typically represented by male humans, so... hard to say."

So... not conclusive. As @Lan Deathrider.5910 pointed out in the thread where I originally posted that, some medium armours do resemble greaves as well (something that I was aware of, hence why I didn't consider it strong evidence of being heavy armour, but it's worth acknowledging that he pointed out something that I'd left unsaid there).

The observation of the colour by @Kodama.6453 might be the clincher. The thief artworks are usually mostly black-grey, but they do use a similar red for a splash of colour here and there, while guardians are usually blue and teal. On that note, in fact, the Virtuoso and necropistolier silhouettes are/were both dominated by their profession colours, so I think the fact that this silhouette is mostly black is itself an indication that we're looking at thief.

So I think we're looking at thief OH sword here.

They defo should try to bring back Chain Attacks. I wouldn't want the attack to miss but perhaps gain extra bonuses based on successful chain attacks to make it more deadly the better you perform with chain attacks.

I'm betting it's a Revenant espec ... the colours are the hint; they match the backgrounds of the weapon skills on the class (purple for mesmer and green for necro so far). I'm betting the 'rules' they broke for class design was to reuse existing class weapons.

Nah. They've associated each of the professions with a specific colour in the profession and elite specialisation pages in the past. In a lot of cases those colours align with the skill icon colours, but not always.

Revenant and thief both use a similar mostly grey palette, although the revenant is usually a little lighter than the thief. Given that the revenant already has dual swords and the thief doesn't, I think thief is much more likely.

It's a Guardian.

I'd say Thief is also likely to get an off-hand sword, because the dual sword icon we've seen for the new elite specs is almost definitely thief's, but this one? This one is a Guardian.

I've been predicting that Guardians would be getting off-hand swords since that was hinted at with Visions' final boss. That silhouette is also using Warlord's heavy armor, and has a few hints of blue, hinting at both it being a guardian and having shiny metallic gear. Anet is also not showing the profession's background color for some reason, possibly because they want to preserve some ambiguity here. (EDIT: Nevermind, the background color IS there, but as a subtle outline. And it's blue.)

This one is a Guardian, but the dual sword spec icon will still be for thieves. Both will get off-hand swords. That's my prediction.

This would be great.
Since GW2 has a huge amount of blocks, evades, etc, it makes sense to do it only bonus if you do the specific order.

Kind of reminds of an old mmo named Tantra Online who had a class like that - Asura/Rakshasa, you could do the attacks in any order you want, but if you do it the "correct" way it gave a ton of damage.

Sneaky ANet giving us less color.

Imho could either be Thief or Guardian (leaning towards Thief unless armor checks out).

Boots and some armor pieces look heavy. As pointed out on Twitter, it might be the heavy Warlord armor.

Colorwise I'd say Thief. Not only because of the red. But because of the dark blue. Just check the colors on the Daredevil Art.

meant heavy, not medium Warlord

My first thought was thief dual sword, but after reading the comments I'm starting to think that it's a guardian (mostly for the boots).

I thought thief mainly because it's black, and so far the other 2 professions had a silhoutte with the standard color of the class (fuchsia mesmer and green necro).

At least on the weapon there are no doubts. Oh no, wait, it's a longbow that he broke in two pieces!
