Zaxares.5419
With Halloween coming up in a couple months, I just thought I'd take the opportunity to make a suggestion to ANet: allow us to sell back excess/unwanted Halloween Pails for Candy Corn Cobs. While the Pails remain useful for new and up-and-coming players, for us post-PoF veterans who have started (or finished) upgrading to 32-slot bags, the Pails are no longer necessary. What's more, they are the only available option for the end of the Halloween Reward Tracks, so if you already have 32-slot bags, the final reward is essentially just going to waste. Given that the Bags have a fixed cost of 3 Cobs, I propose putting in a Buyback option at the Halloween vendors for the same price. I don't imagine this will affect the Candy Corn/Cob prices much at all, given that there are plentiful options to spend Cobs on (including the Weekly Vendor).
Linken.6345
Agree with this idea or just put in a choice of cobs at the end what ever is easiest
Ashantara.8731
Great idea!
Infusion.7149
It would only work if it were not the full amount you paid. i.e. you only get 2 cobs instead of 3. Why not just suggest a new reward at the end of the reward track that gives you 3 candy corn cobs ?
Jilora.9524
I have over 20 Halloween bags on my alts and I'm going to say no. Back in the day they were the cheapest option much less then 10g and now you want me to get 12g for each of them after getting to use them for like 6 years. Sounds great but not a logical suggestion that they going to do.
Zaxares.5419
I'd be fine with a reduced buyback price of 2 Cobs too, but I think that might also rankle players who possibly bought a Pail for 3 Cobs by accident and find they can't get their full price back. Likewise, I'd also be fine with an option of 3 Candy Corn Cobs for the end of the Reward Tracks, although it is somewhat annoying that all those Pails that dropped from Reward Tracks in the meantime are wasted. Random Wax Orc.7695
I would prefer 32 slot upgrade recipes for Halloween Pails... and while we are at it, slot upgrade recipes for the 15-Slot Gift Boxes, and Rox's Treat Bag. Seeing how reward tracks are more applicable for WVW/PVP I'd rather have a year-round 32-slot Siegemaster Satchel that uses testimonies of heroics or something account-bound that doesn't have many sinks. Didn't they actually do an upgrade to something else in one of the festivals? I thought it was the Dragon Bash node, but I could be misremembering. It wasn't this past year, but it wasn't all that long ago, either.

So there's hope that they'll expand their upgrades to include things like the pail. I still use the ones I have on my alts, but I agree that having a way to upgrade them, either with currency or crafting, would be really nice.
