sostronk.8167
I'm basically at a point where I have full legendary (Armor, weapons, all trinkets) and finishing off the bits I need to be there. But I have a bank with many ascended trinkets, armor and weapons that I am not sure what to do with them. Should I be buying up ascended salvage kits and salvaging them all? Or does it depend? I can't seem to find a lot of information / guides on whether or what I should be salvaging or not?
Imba.9451
Why would you keep something that has become obsolute for you? Did you keep exotics when you have been full ascended? Do you get any use out of it? Or is this just some weird flex? 😛 1
sostronk.8167
1. Why would you keep something that has become obsolete for you? Because I don't know what to do with them, hence why I am here asking. 2. Did you keep exotics when you have been full ascended? I asked around as to what the best option is to do with full exotics and then went with that advice. Like what I am doing here. 3. Do you get any use out of it? I was using ascended on alts, but the legendary rework made that negligible. 4. Or is this just some weird flex? No, I genuinely don't know what to do with them and it was a big time investment so I want to make sure I don't do the wrong thing and regret it.
Link.6157
Having the same concerns but about backpacks. There are some that you can upgrade further for stats/slots/looks so i gess it all depends on the item. For example the spinal blade can be colored, after that i thought you could change the color but it seems you need to remake it completely? Some trinkets also have visuals, idk if you transmute the legendary trinkets. I would say, check the wiki per item, takes time but you won't regret it afterwards. Jijimuge.4675
If you have weapons that you regularly switch to you within in your inventory (e.g. my chrono usually uses Sw/Sw, but switches between Sw/Fo and GS for 2nd set) then it could be faster and more convenient to have the weapons in your inventory than to use the legendary armoury system. Sure, you can use an equipment template for that, but that may not suit you or you may not wish to buy extra tabs if you're already using those you have. I can't see any obvious reasons to keep extra armour around except perhaps for the convenience of the appearance and dye job you've done if you're inclined to switch that and don't have enough templates? Only reason I can think of to keep asc. trinkets around is if your legendary setup is stuck with the swirling orbs above the head and you want to turn them off.. As mentioned by Link, there are a few things like the Tempered Spinal Blades backpack which you'll need to retain if you wish to later convert it into the Dynamic (or Static or Synergetic) Spinal Blades. That's all I can think of off the top of my head...
Rogue.8235
Salvaging them is what I've been doing. No use keeping them around anymore. The huge exception is any item that is used in achievements or is needed for future skins. Before salvaging, double check the wiki to make sure it's not something used to make an item with a skin you don't already have. Double check the actual name of the item in the tool box. The item name may have changed if you transmuted it. I almost salvaged my Wings of Ascension because I transmuted them and the item name was the skin that I transmuted it to. type In short: 1) Salvage all the ascended gear you don't need anymore. 2) Use /wiki and shift + click the item before salvaging, just in case it's used for a skin or something. LSD.4673
Attune first, then salvage. Super cheap to attune, and gives something like an extra roll in receiving a matrix from it. I'd love to know some worthless stat combos to get rid of. Soldier's is one (Power, Vitality and Toughness). The ones like Precision without power or ferocity can always go, as can weird crossovers like healing power with condi and concentration, or whatever. Deedrick.4372
This is more a question to ask yourself if you think of anything that will be problematic, like weapon swapping on the fly without a new template, or visuals from leg. trinkets that cannot be disabled. Do you have the space to hoard, then delete the least or non used items as you need space? I personally salvaged 46+ sets of ascended gear/weapons/trinkets/back/rings. However, that may not be right for you, only you can actually know.
