Hello Hello !

I am totally new to guild wars 2 and see some people fly in fast things like dragons.

i have purchased the lvl 80 booster. and my toon still walks, meh.

Any suggestions how i can gain a dragon or something that will make me fly / walk faster ?

Mounts are a feature of the Path of Fire expansion, they aren't needed nor available in all prior content, including Core game, Living World Season 2, Heart of Thorns or Living World Season 3.

If you start PoF story you can begin working on mounts, and take them back to places you've been. Some of them like the Raptor are extremely easy to get, others like the Griffon, Rollerbeetle and Skyscale require alot of work.

Without a mount you can still run very fast with builds that give permanent Swiftness boons. Example Necro can do permaswift easily with Superior Rune of the Centaur x6 and Warhorn.

Swiftness is cool but mounts are faster.

Start the Path of Fire story and go until you get a Raptor.

I'd suggest stopping there if you want to experience the story properly.

Now, with your Raptor, go back to previous areas and do what you want, i suggest story missions, some give really nice rewards, and you'll get to see the story. You have to finish the entire LS4 story anyway if you want a Skyscale.

After that, if you want, after PoF story is done, it unlocks the Griffon collection (250 gold plus stuff you collect), Roller beetle is in LS4, Domain of Kourna, and Skyscale is only available when you finish the entire LS4 story. But you're going to be working on it for  weeks if not a month or more, it's a long slow colection to get.

If you are totally new and not boosting to L80, use war horn and learn Blood Magic's Quickening Thirst. After that, learn Spite's Signet of the Locust. These will get you through the low levels as quick as possible while you work toward getting other things like Speed of Shadows, and Spectral Walk. Once you get to L80, get the raptor in Path of Fire. That should provide plenty of speed to help you around maps a lot faster. You can work on Elite specializations and collecting mounts later.
