Benefit to completing LS on one character only?

Thinking of returning to the game.  I have most of LS completed on one or two characters (maybe LS1 and half of LS2 on one character, the rest on another).  

 

Is there any benefit to completing it all (LS1/LS2/LS3/Icebrood saga) all on one character? (Other than the obvious...access to waypoints, etc) ?  Are there any achievements for doing it on one character, any other gain for having all of them completed on one character?

 

Or is it 'OK' to complete a few episodes on one character, a few on another, maybe an entire LS on a totally different character?

If you get all achievements right when you’re doing the LS then any will do but if you do the story and go back later to get achievements then it’s best to do it on one character so you don’t have to search each character’s LS list to see which did what.

Except for doing the achievements in LW2, you can do each episode on different characters. As long as you finish them.

 

The expansions are the exception since they a single long story, while HoT you need it to do the Knight of the Thorn Side Story.

There are no achievements or other rewards for doing it all on one character.

 

There are some things which are only available to characters who have completed certain story steps (like the Knight of the Thorn side story, which requires HoT completion) so doing it all on one character makes it easier to know who is eligable for that because it will always be the same character. As far as I remember none of them require you to have completed multiple steps on the same character. (For example the skyscale collection needs items from several different episodes, but you can collect those on different characters, you just need to speak to Gorrik on the character who started the collection.)

Well, there is no 'Season 1' achievements available, really.

Season Two requires the same character per Chapter for achievements.

Other than that (and the other instances mentioned above), it does not matter.

Hot and Pof both have achievements and items that can only be done on the character as well though, and take multiple playthroughs.

 

Hot: order backpacks

Pof: banner backpacks

 

Might be missing a few aside from that.
