How to Contact Guild Mate Outside of the Game

Hi,

is there a way to contact another player/guild mate outside of the game? I have been playing with a guy for a while before I had to take a break. After returning, I wanted to get back in touch with him but he appears to be inactive judging by the last time he was online (as shown in guild tab). I messaged him in-game but obviously he only gets the message when he's online. Is there another way to reach him? Like sending a notification that pops up in his e-mail account?

If they've logged into these forums at some point, you'll be able to send them a private message, which if they didn't disable, will additionally be sent to their email.

That might work. Are you sure about the email notification though? Because I can't remember getting any emails from the forum when I received messages. Can you send me a dummy message?

Oh, I found the notification settings. You were right, that's actually the default setting for private messages. I will try that route, thanks.
