Does it take 2 Conflux rings or can I Equip the same Conflux ring in both Ring slots?

I found the following response from an Anet developer but it is still not clear:

 

"Unique is an attribute that means you can not equip two copies of the same items in different slots. The removal of this 
attribute means you will be able to equip two of them if it can be put into different slots. For Conflux that means you can 
put a different copy of conflux in both trinket slots at the same time."

 

Using the new Armory, do I have to craft TWO Conflux Legendary Rings OR can I craft ONE Conflux Legendary Ring and equip it in both Ring slots?

You need two. Removing unique only means you can equip two it does not magically turn 1 ring into 2 rings.

It is still only 1 ring so can only occupy 1 slot on each character tho.

The difference is that each character will only be able to equip it in one ring slot at a time per "template".

It's the same as trying to equip the same weapon multiple times, the same rune 6 or 7 times. Each item can only be used once per template per character.

OK, I crafted Conflux and I was only able to equip it in ONE ring slot per character. It would not allow me to equip it in the second ring slot on the same character. BUT, I was able to equip ONE Infusion in all THREE infusion slots in Conflux. Figure that one out.

Infusions from other templates are saved in your build storage so no you were not able to use 1 infusion in all the 3  conflux slots.

 

Take away all your infusions in every equipment loadout put all but one in the bank and try again with just one in your backpack to see how wrong your are on this one.

And yes you need to craft another conflux to be able to equip 2 on the same loadout.

So it behaves exactly as others explained. Good to know this works as intended.

Still behaving exactly as described and explained.

 

The idea behind this is that instead of forcing players to constantly trade their legendary items back and forth, which they technically could do, every character gains access to the gear via the armory. Which still does not increase 1 legendary ring to 2.

 

That and the fact they are trying to increase the value proposition of the template system and encourage more players to craft legendary gear (aka give players more to work on gear wise).
