Ele has always got the best spec names!

So far, the new spec names are a bit underwhelming. However, if a good spec name is important to you, pick Ele!

Both Tempest and Weaver are excellent names that describe the spec perfectly. They make sense.

While people can argue that Blue class has the worst track of record for names ("Dragon" Hunter, "will" blender...) Ele across Cantha can rejoice that we will have the best name of all the Elite Spec! History proved it!

Well...

Elementalist: Tempest and weaver

Mesmer: Chronomancer, mirage and virtuoso (I'd agree that chronomancer is a bit cringey)

Necromancer: Reaper, scourge and harbinger.

Engineer: Scrapper and holosmith (Ok holosmith isn't that great of a name)

Thief: Daredevil and deadeye (seem Ok to me)

Ranger: Druid and Soulbeast (Ok, soulbeast is a miss)

Guardian: Dragonhunter, Firebrand and Soulbender (lol, I guess guardian need some drawback)

Revenant: Herald and renegade (seem fine to me)

Warrior: Berserker and spellbreaker (Ok spellbreaker is a miss)

So, so far, I'd say that elementalist, necromancer and revenant are even in naming sense.

Thief would be slightly behind

Then come warrior, ranger, mesmer and engineer.

And the guardian indeed get the worst naming sense.

For Rev, it's not clear why the second spec deserved the name "Renegade", which means roughly "Betrayer"

For Necromancer, "Harbinger" is an overused word. They even have a trait named Harbinger Shroud. It loses points due to uncreativity.

Thus, Ele still has the best spec names so far!

Kalla was the leader of the rebellion against the Flame Legion.

From the view of the Flame Legion back then, it was a clear act of betrayal.

I think the name is fitting.

Very good with names and ideal very bad execution of the class! Ele is more of an fan fick but not good canon.

Mages have more freedom with names where if your class is just a wepon or a roll in a world (Off hand sword or hunting dragons) you have less room to make a name for it.

You think Chronomancer is Mesmer’s problematic elite spec name? Virtuoso is the worst one yet… it could have been a good spec name if it actually fit the spec… there is no correlation  between Virtuoso (talented musician/artist) and mind daggers… atleast mirage and chronomancer are related to their respective specs theme…

The connection is with the blade skills, they're called bladesongs (I hope he's gonna sing the spells, like he chants the mantras, otherwise it would be a miss...). The virtuoso is basically the elven bladesinger & bladedancer you get in d&d fantasy. It's pretty much a mesmer/paragon from GW1 (a good chuck of the virtuoso skills and traits are actually named after paragon skills).

According to the informations at our disposal, and the Cantha theme and all, i think next ele spec will be Firecracker.

I laughed harder than I should at this 😆. Firecracker, with *melee* Rifle as the main weapon in true Ele fashion.
