need some tips from expert griffon flyers

Recommended Posts

hi guys i am able to get that first wing flap dive boost however when i go low i can never get high enough to do it again without smacking into the ground. i know its possible because there are some really cool YouTube videos of the griffon. one other thing i need to know about is sometimes when i do the flap dive and i pull up some times my griffon goes up with speed boost still going and keeps going super fast other times when i have that flap boost and i pull up he doesn't go strait up he just pulls up and slows down. thank you for any tips you can give. by the way just wanted to let you guys know that i figured out how to fly with one hand i just put the skills on 2 and 3 on the key board.

1st - To make it easy try to bind button that are easy to reach for you. I personalty use "A" to goes back up and ""E to go down (Azerty Keyboard).

2sd - The skill to get higher will never put you higher than where you have started flying. Also if you start from very high, their is a limite, if you go to deep you won't be able to fully recover.

3rd - Be sur to set-up a good camera angle, don't be to far or you'll have lot of trouble flying precisely at high speed.

4th - Their is 3 speed on Gryph :

- Normal flight

- Diving giving a little speed boost

- Diving while maintaining space bar give you a huge speed boost.

5th - Here is a video that helped me a lot when I 1st get it 2 year ago :

1 -

2 - This video made me try-harding gryffon :3

So to get the most height after you pull up in super speed you will want to flap while pulling up; fly in super speed, press and hold pull up button and flap while you're pressing pull up button. So make sure you don't flap just before you pull up to save the energy for the pull up.

I'm no expert but I do have all the griffon courses done with gold (or maybe this officially makes me expert/master :)) and do love to fly around with it. It's hard for me to give actual advice because it's mostly muscle memory and feeling, especially when trying to do minor corrections in height while in super speed. Once you will use it a lot you will get the feeling for animation and how can  press either dive or pull up to do a minor correction of height without going into full dive animation or lose super speed while pulling up.

I do recommend you start doing the griffon courses. It's a good training and you will get a feeling of what is possible and what not.

Check out the Adventures page on the wiki -- the Path of Fire and LW Season 4 sections includes the griffon adventures. In-game, in the appropriate map zones you will usually find these at the top of cliffs and mountain areas, providing a good initial height to start the course from as it takes you around the skies of the area.

Typically these will require some good use of the dive boost and raising back up. I have yet to do a lot of these myself, though I did get a lot better with the griffon via the Barnstorming achievement in Labyrinthine Cliffs (Festival of the Four Winds area).

Agree for Griffon races, but if you're a bit competitive like I'm it can be a trap, I don't have leave until I get rank 1 on each of them xD
