The barrier trait is irrelevant, since it only proccs on a single ability for the power weaver dps rotation (pyro vortex) and the increase by having healing power...well...noone is using HP in endgame content - is this some open world change?

 

This will not address the issue you actually wrote about.

the endgame is wvw. And there weaver is just a joke. This change will do nothing change the situation.

Soooo, basically:

 

  • Changed Combos - Great!
  • Confusion - Okay... switch back in 6 months?
  • Holosmith - Will see how it plays out
  • Scourge - Will see how it plays out

 

Most other changes seem kind of irrelevant. I really hope that there will be a back trait rework before EoD...

Honestly I think these are such bad changes. Same goes for the previous changes also to the necro heal well, guardian MI, ele geyser, etc.  It only kills certain builds and make build diversity worse..........

I agree, changes that reduce a mechanic to something that can be ignored is not the same as a nerf. It's just removing something and pretending like it's still there.

Actually, WvW did get a change. Mesmer got another nerf. 😬

Cause we all know how overrun wvw is with OP Mesmers 1 shotting while they revive people...🤣

Until Anet removes the "aggro everything nearby on heal" part of the Grenadier trait, I won't believe Anet considers Engineer as anything more than a gimmick or novelty class.  They took away Elixir Bombs, and just created a Necro elite that looks a lot like a versatile jade elixir Engineer concept.  If the new Engineer elite is left with only offhand pistol or shield as options, no combat weapon swap, and still requires a utility slot or two taken up by kits, then Engineer will once again get "half an elite", while other classes get a load of game play options.

Its not a easter egg, its a bug. Youre not supposr to be able to play core engineer.
