My initial thoughts on the harbinger

I like the shroud and pistol skills, I think they did a good job on those, however I'm not as convinced on the utilities, trade off and some of the traits. 

 

Utilities

• - It would be fine if they were fun but under-powered for example, but they are all just...boring? Drink and get a boon, did it need to be the same for every elixir? They are just copy pasted stuff  with different boons, much like the tool tip icons. So their main thing outside of boons, is blight. Which is also rather dry...

Tradeoff

- What does blight actually do on it's own? Cut your hp in half. What do you get in return for having 25 stacks? Nothing, unless you pick one of two traits, both are just damage modifiers. I was thinking there'd be more interesting ways of using/interacting with blight, consuming/converting it etc. but it's just another modifier, and what if you wanted to pick the middle trait to boost your elixirs a bit? Now you get no benefit from blight. I think they should have put in the 1% strike/condi dmg into the blight debuff itself, it is a hybrid dmg dealer after all. This opens up room for the 2 traits to be redesigned to be more interesting. 

- Now there is a shroud with no second health bar, interesting, whats the reward? You get to stay in shroud a bit longer? IDK how long you can stay in shroud with 11k hp and no utilities/stun breaks. A bold, yet interesting, move would've been to allow utilities in shroud. This would be similar to CA, no?

- I don't mind the risk/reward for the new LF, so you loose LF passively to heal yourself. Introduces interesting gameplay mechanics. 

 

Traits

- A lot of bog standard conversion traits, safe but a little boring. But the biggest dissapointments are the grandmaster traits. Afk style pulsing aura for all 3 😕

 

I hope these utilities/traits aren't set in stone, there is afterall quite a few months before the official release. Maybe they are showing off this spec so early because they are eager for the feedback?
