After reading the new balance update for Warrior I'm convinced. There's no other explanation, Anet wants to troll us and dance on our graves after showcasing a broken full mobile-based guardian that puts us to shame.

Don't worry fellow warrior! We shall restore the name of our clan soon! Warriors will receive no espec this expac. Instead they will remain as is because ANet won't have to deal with us whining about another spec not being decent in all content!

I noticed that as well. I scanned the list down to what I usually go to: warrior changes. Lo and behold, a single sentence about a trait that I don't use. It really does seem that Anet is happy where warrior is currently even though we're not.

 

That new warrior spec better be sumtin' special for them to be this cozy with the state of warrior. If we get dog poo in a bag as a specialization, then the message is loud and clear, "We do not care about warrior". It'll be my que to uninstall. My favorite class in all RPG's is the bruiser class, the warrior class. I'll have nothing left in this game if warrior dies.

Yeah, I never touch banners for the same reason. They're simply not fun and the very antithesis of what warrior's about.

A warrior should be a mobile, scarey melee monster, that can take the pain as well as dish it out.

Banners root them to an area and completely break the flow of the profession.

Someone forced to fight a warrior in melee should sh!t their pants and either die or get away by the skin of their teeth.

 

Banners should mount on your back and follow you around. Make battle standard rez or finish in the area you target, but mount onto the back.

I used to love warrior banner when it gave regen. It was the only support build on any class that I would build. A nonstop regen buff plus banner heal in a WvW skirmish was incredible. I had no idea back then that warrior would be pigeon holed in PVE into bannerslaves. I never PVE seriously and don't have a clue about warrior state in PVE. But I've been informed that Bannerslave is very much still a thing.

Yes I really missed the banner regen trait, though I could also go for a buffed  Banner of Tactics to get the regen.

I personally posted a collective idea of how reworked banners should work in the omnibus. But I doubt anet would go to such lengths to make them viable, mobile, with Stat contribution and Boon distribution on flip...

To be fair a lot of ranged (and melee also) options of other professions have multihitters (exactly because of blind/aegis). Maybe the new gun (it has to be a pistol) will get one too. Not that it would do anything for existing specs.

Hey if it's gonna be pistols may as well go for it for fun. Time to roleplay thief on Warr! 

 

I thought, if they go dual pistols, screw it, I love going rifle mode sometimes (2 rifles lol) so why not pistols to compensate closer range? I just hope they are quick and offer utility.

Didn't they say that the Harbinger has a small wild west element to it with pistol? Core thief feels very bandit like and mesmer is basically an arcane trickster with OH pistol or something. Engi finds plenty of condi and unique effects in its pistols. 

 

So what flavor will our pistols have? Reloading time for our skills as well as cooldowns? XD and if it's fields they may get, would they dare to give us smoke fields?

If they did it would be on a 25s CD and we'd be able to blast/leap it no more than twice.
