Site helps what i can sell and not for an item from my Material storage

Recommended Posts

That sounds like a tall order. The tool would have to know what items you want. Pretty much all the items in material storage that can be sold are used for multiple things. The dependency can also be many levels deep.

Adding everything you want to https://gw2efficiency.com/crafting/calculator and setting "Use own material" to no then selling everything not on the shopping list might work but what if there is something you want but you don't know about yet .... personally I just sell whenever things overflow material storage. That is a much simpler approach although it did fail a couple times on the account without any material storage expanders and some stuff required 2 stacks of materials.

The inventory system is a notorious clusterflupp.

You can craft your excess gatherable stuff for the future with daily crafts (e.g., mithril into bars, bars into mithrilium, mithrilium + iron + platinum + steel into deldrimor ingots), but besides that, your options are to either stick the materials into alt storage, or to painstakingly go through your materials and figure out what to keep.

Neither is very fun.

I set up and log things myself in spreadsheets when going down specific crafting paths in MMOs. I think, as pointed out, gw2efficiency is probably the closest you will get to having something that can do some of the work for you.

I think the best way to go about it is to use the Wiki or GW2 Efficency to tell you what you'll need for whatever you're trying to make and then you'll know you can sell anything which isn't on that list. (Of course if you know you've got other goals planned after that you'll need to consider them as well.)

Sometimes you might have to work your way back through options, for example The Bifrost needs 100 opal orbs and you can make those from lower tier opal, sunstone, tigers eye and copper dubloons so it might be worth keeping those to convert...or it might actually be more economical to sell some/all of them and buy the orbs.

Also bear in mind it doesn't have to be all or nothing. I often sell cooking ingredients because I don't use them that often, but just in case I do want them I keep 50 of each. (Which is an arbitrary limit I decided just because it seems unlikely I'll need that much at short notice.)

If it is selling for coppers on the TP, dump it because you can buy it back. If its worth something hold on to it until you are out of space. No need to sell anything especially if you just pack mule it on other toons, accounts, or spare guild banks.

Would advice against this at this time.

Reason is festival of the 4 winds is coming up and that is a huge resource dump in the chance to get infusions.
