What ever happened to mail carriers and finishers?

I'm kind of sad that they seem to have abandoned all resources into making these things. I think the mail carriers are so creative and you could really offer up some interesting things given the animations and effects currently in the game. People are constantly selling things on the TP so you'd see them all the time. I always get asked about mine.

 

I love my bee dog mail carrier but do wish we'd get new ones.

 

Also miss new finishers being brought out. I always find it interesting to see what people use in pvp settings.

Pvp is the ghetto area of gw2, we get nothing and we will like it, and the anet police come's and confiscates our stuff when we get to rowdy. (Tons of content removal from pvp from core till now)

 

My point is aimed at the finishers, as for mail carrier's not many send mail.

Sometimes the festival finishers and mail carriers come out at the appropropriate holiday (and, occasionally, at totally different holidays altogether...); and there are some of the older finishers available for Black Lion statues, but I agree, it would be nice to see some new ones.  Maybe we'll see new ones now that EoD is nearing release and resources free up?

I really want more mail carriers. E-spec themed ones could be fun. Like, I really want a Scrapper gyro that delivers mail.

I think the saddest thing about pof is they did not make fire theme reskins of the rank emotes with a unique dragon rank, like HoT did. It is sad how there isn't even a Champions reward tracked added to pvp/wvw.

But the mail carrier you have shows up everytime something happens on the tp. Everytime you send something to sell off flies the carrier. Everyone just has a tiny bird by default so you can miss it.

I completely forgot about this. It is a shame... I loved working through the HoT pvp rank stuff back when I used to pvp more.

Like Khisanth suggested, its quite possible that they just don't sell well enough to justify the time and resources into making more of.  I myself haven't spent money on either in the nine years I've been playing this game.

Finishers are meh.

In PvP, maybe but we all know that game mode has been left aside for a long time.
In WvW, you would be lucky to have the time to use one.
In PvE, useless and a pain. Can you imagine having saved up about 50 wardrobe unlocks and not getting gemstore skins but instead finishers or mail carriers? Omg that would be hilarious if it wasn't infuriating.

I end up stomping out 90% of my small-scale kills in WvW.

 

It's not a PvE mechanic but they've included "finish him!" enemies like Toxic Knights and I think those actually played pretty well; wouldn't mind seeing more like that; it adds an interesting little dimension on top of just break the bar + DPS. (PvE players can be on the receiving end of stomps, too, in Fractals — I wouldn't make that a common OW mechanic but I do think "counter a stomp to save your friend!" was a great addition to Fractals.)
