Starting a story chapter over, is it possible?

So last year when the "No Quarter" chapter of Icebrood Saga launched, like many I eagerly went to play it right away. I quit about 1/4 of the way through the first part cause I could not deal with the text only version (I also sadly can't enjoy a subtitled movie as I have to focus too much on the text to enjoy what is going on) and chose to revisit it after the voice-overs had been added. Sadly, I am just now getting around to running the last three chapters of Icebrood and am a bit lost as to the story line.

Is there any way to re-start this chapter as if I had never started it?

 

(note I realize I could play through the remainder of the chapter then choose to re-play to get the first part, but I want to avoid that as it is like coming into a movie in the middle then going back to watch how it started, which sort of ruins the experience)

Does not seem to, as I just spent the last 4 days burning through all the "Return to" content.

 

Changing to another chapter just leaves this one in the "continue chapter" state to pick up where I left off.

You might need to replay it on another character, if you don't want to finish it first before replaying it.

Sometimes you can abandon the current story and sometimes you can't. Haven't worked out the rules behind that.

So there are check points in the story. When you pass them, those mark the rest of your story. When you go back to it, you pick it up there. Once completely finished you can replay from beginning. In LS2 this was the required behavior to get AP to start showing up. You would finish story, go back and redo them multiple times for mutually exclusive AP choices.

 

I am not 100% sure but in the case of POF story where you pick a choice that drives AP, I don't think you can roll back that decision, or play through a second time and have a different choice make an affect. In HoT you pick a back pack to make a choice, and as you don't get loot the second time through, I don't think it lets you change your choice there.
