This got me thinking, have we discussed arm floaties in this thread yet? Because I bet the plush backpack and hoodie audience would totally go for floaties as shoulder pieces. They can simply release two pieces, chest and bottom. For the other slots, we already have toggles and invisible foot armour (which Arenanet still needs to significantly improve the acquisition rate for). But the main point is, as long as it's armour, it has objectively more value due to having the possibility of being mixed with armour. I'm getting impatient though, release is almost here and I don't want to look stupid while sailing. I can't even take my shoes off to keep them from getting wet without paying 3k gold for invisible stompers. The Greyhawk.9107 Posted February 2, 2022 Share Posted February 2, 2022 Gonna be frank, this fishing skiffs argument/reasoning for swimsuits is a weird one to me as I don't think I've ever worn any kind of swim wear back when I used to go fishing, plus the idea of that much exposed skin around flying barbed hooks gives me the heebie-jeebies. The guy I was responding to in that comment was explicitly asking for armor sets with individual parts that could be mixed as opposed to an outfit that couldn't. As someone who's been out fishing, boating, and swimming in the same afternoon, the solution is that half your boat works on their tan and knocks back beers while the other half competes to see who can keep the most fish away from the river turtles - everyone's wearing either swimwear or shorts and short sleeves (which is also swimwear if you're determined). Additionally, most beaches I know allow fishers and swimmers to coexist by virtue of fishing at the piers/depths and swimming at the shore/shallows. Apart from all that though, you've given me an excellent idea for a new PvP mode where players utilize underwater combat and attempt to score goals around the map while enemy players play defense both in the water and up on land where they try to hook enemy players with their fishing poles (and possibly nets) for a devastating period of immobilization during which their peers finish them off.
