Rookie Mount question

How do I get a mount? I have Path Of Fire.

You will be given the first mount, the Raptor, fairly early as part of the PoF story. The rest you will have to purchase from an NPC. I only have the first two, so I can't say much about how to obtain the others. When in doubt, ask map or guild chat.

You get your first mount - the Raptor - automatically upon completion of the very first story mission that takes you into Path of Fire.

Start PoF story. You get first mount shortly after getting off the ship.

There are a few other points in threads under General Discussion regarding mounts, costs and MP requirements that you should be aware of. In particular:

1. Save some Trade Contracts and Gold to buy Springer, Skimmer and Jackel mounts. Trade Contracts are area/map currency, essentially, so don't splurge on too many recipes at heart vendors early on.
2. The cost per mount increases as you advance (1g, 4g, 20g) - I don't recall Trade Contract costs, but they scale too.
3. In my humble opinion, it can be a challenge to get the second mount (Springer) if you don't have enough MP (mastery points) for the raptor mount. You need to train 3/4 sections to get the skill necessary to reach the Springer. This requires 6MP's. You get 1 with the raptor, but will need to get the other 5 via story advancement, first map exploration and possibly the Sous-Chef activity (EDIT: also, some map/mount achievements like Reins of the Raptor).
