Sound cutting and music resets

Ever since Path of Fire launched, as I'm playing through, the sound will cut out for several seconds seemingly at random and then come back, with the music track either starting over or playing an entirely new track. Normally this is a minor issue, however, in several instances so far it has crashed the sound entirely until I restarted Guild Wars 2. In one particularly extreme example, a few minutes after the sound cut out, it suddenly returned as blaring white noise through my headphones until I shut Guild Wars 2 off.
