Slower to load environment since last patch?

Since last patch I experience that when I come into an area after using a waypoint for instance, it takes a while for the level go gradually load (buildings plop in after a little while). In Elona, for instance.I also get green or red areas peeking through the ground in certain areas, maybe that is connected to graphics not loaded?I have never experienced this before.I am on low settings and play on a Mac :)
