Tyrian misfits [TM] wants you!

Hello!

I want to offer you all a spot in the guild that I have had the wonderful pleasure of being a part of for many years. The guild, Tyrian Misfits [TM], is a PvX community located on the Gate of Madness server. We have been together for a very long time and after a bit of a break, we are starting fresh!

Because of this, we would like to reach out a welcoming hand to our community. I’ll give it a hard sell, and if interested, you can join us!

Our vision

As a guild, we strive to maintain a community where everybody feels welcome. We take great pride in being a guild with a family feel that always puts members and community first. Anyone is welcome to become part of our cozy community. However, there are some guidelines that we enforce:

Rules

• Harassment, bullying, and intentional negative targeting of others is prohibited through any medium (e.g. Discord, in-game, Facebook, etc.).

• User pictures should not display nudity, sexually explicit content, or any symbols or icons that convey hate speech.

• Language that expresses bigotry is prohibited – including, but not limited to: racism, sexism, and homophobia.

• We do NOT enforce 100% rep. However, we would like to be your main guild and ask that members stay involved with us when they join.

Our rules are based around the idea of creating a positive social environment and fostering a strong mutual respect between our members.

What we offer

[TM] offers the opportunity to do what you want, when you want, and how you want. We organize guild events based off of community interest to make sure that we are engaging our players. [TM] has dedicated players for every game mode and across a handful of different international time zones.

WvW

[TM] has a huge history of being a WvW guild. As such, we have many die-hard WvW players who will always be around for you to join in on! Whether you prefer to participate in Havoc runs, follow the occasional Tag, or just to roam the Borderlands, [TM] can provide for any WvW activity.As a disclaimer, we are centered on GoM, so our WvW playtime will be spent on that server and its partner(s) each cycle, BUT you do not need to be on GoM to become a part of our guild!

PvP

While not as numerous as our WvW players, [TM] does have a handful of dedicated PvPers; enough to get teams together or duo as you grind through the ranked ladder. Historically, [TM] has held PvP events from competitive to casual to ridiculous, and should interest arise, we can have more!

PvE

At this point in [TM]'s lifetime, we have a heavy focus on PvE. Most of our players are active in PvE in one way or another: Raids, Open World, Fractals, even assisting one another with legendary crafting! If you can think it, there’s probably a Misfit doing it. We are looking into starting up organized raid nights once more as well, and all are welcome to participate.

What makes us different

We are aware that there are thousands of guilds out there that seem like us on the surface, and while we are similar to other guilds, there are a couple of major differences that we are proud to say set us apart. The first major difference is one I’ve mentioned already, but I’m going to keep saying it: we want you all to be part of our family! We want everyone who joins us to feel welcomed and supported, and as such, we encourage to be heavily involved in events and decision making for the guild. This leads directly into the second important difference that sets us apart: We want to do things our guild members want to do as opposed to having set events that are scheduled weekly. We will be doing events weekly but the schedule is determined by player interest not set events that are the same every week. This creates an opportunity for the community to do what they want to do, when they want to do it, and allows for a sense of involvement.

Other Information

• We mainly use Discord for communication in- and outside-of the game. We also have a Facebook page and a YouTube channel! Anyone can send videos to be uploaded to the YouTube channel, and they will be added, provided they do not go against our rules.• Max level, well-decorated Gilded Hollow Guild Hall.• We have an average of 20 people on during prime time• We are active on Gilded and have used it to organize events. You can find a calendar on Gilded and use it to show interest in activities in advance!

Conclusion - TL;DR

[TM] is a PvX guild on Gate of Madness. We try to take a different approach to event structure and put the members first! We are laid back and do not put expectations on any of our players beyond being friendly and participatory. We also encourage players to provide input into our member-generated activities schedule. We strive to give our members the best community possible and to make sure everybody gets what they want out of the game under our banner!
