Can I set the game to see a bluetooth device that doesn't categorize itself as a sound device?

I wear hearing aids and I have paired them to my phone. I would like to use them as a headset with the game too, but for some reason the makers of Kirkland hearing aids programmed them so they don't announce themselves to bluetooth as sound devices. All it says is "hearing aid." And it appears the game, when giving you the list of devices you can send to, only lists devices that are in the Sound category. I have looked unsuccessfully for a way to tell the computer that this set is a sound device. I doubt there's a way to force the game to see my hearing aid as a set of headphones, but what the hell. Thought I'd ask.
