  1. Just give it 1s Superspeed and maybe 2.5s fury and it's perfectly fine. Or make it more interesting with defensive boons like Aegis and Regen or something. Maybe have it synergize with rifle better by giving Vigor? Tbh, I hate how stealth works in this game and would prefer it if it was changed to how it works in stuff like League of Legends or Heroes of the Storm.

  2. Hello Anet. I'm a long time DPS Engi and Warrior main with a Heal Tempest on the side. I am very happy with nearly all the changes I'm seeing except for 1 change, the changes to Elementalist Water Scepter 3: Water Trident. As a Heal Tempest, alot of the time I end up taking Staff as my weapon of choice for the more difficult challenges in the game (such as healing through Boneskinner and T4 Fractals). However, when I feel like I can get away with it, I often enjoy taking Scepter/Warhorn as my healing weapons due to how much I enjoy the skills Warhorn brings. Now then, Dagger is a fine weapon and it has a few things that help my Heal Tempest (Water 1/2,/3 for Vuln, Healing, and a Blast Finisher) (Air 2/3 for Weakness and Shocking Aura), but Scepter has FAR more utility than Dagger does (Fire 2/3's dual Blast Finishers) (Water 2/3 for Vuln and STRONG healing burst) (Air 3's Blind) (Earth 2/3 for self-Toughness and another Blind). If the changes go through, I won't have that heal to help me be a strong Heal Tempest.

If you guys are married to the idea of this new Water Trident no longer being a Ground Targeted ability, at least make the healing portion of the skill work as an AoE around the targets hit.

TL; DR: PLEASE RETHINK THE CHANGES TO WATER TRIDENT FROM A HEAL ELEMENTALIST STAND-POINT.

  3. I understand that this is how it's been and that you can stat change to salvage, but it just doesn't make sense to have these weapons be the ONLY ones that are like this. Maybe ANet doesn't know it's like this? I just want an official stance on this so I can see it and just move on and accept it lol.

Got to admit... the SoI change caught me off guard. Not sure if this Signet is worth casting (or bringing) unless traited now 🥴

It is for solo play but not group play 😕

    Unless traited as stated lol

  5. I'd love to see these happen. There's a lot more that I'd like looked at, but I wanted some skill changes first.
There's a few changes that I marked with an asterisk. Those I just came up with on the spot mostly and could take them or leave them 😛

    Pistol
-Static Shot (Pistol 3) now has 2 ammunition, requires a 5-second recharge between uses, and recovers ammunition every 12 seconds.

    Spoiler

~"I'd like main hand pistol to have a bit more oomph and I think increasing it's utility with the ammo system is a great way to do it!"

    Rifle
-Jump Shot (Rifle 5) is now an Explosion.

    Spoiler

~"I'm under the impression that launching yourself TF2 Soldier style should count as an explosion."

    Shield
-Magnetic Shield (Shield 4) now correctly displays it's shield around the Engineer.
*-Throw Shield base damage and power ratio both increased by [insert percentage here].

    Spoiler

~"I HATE that the Magnetic Shield bubble is off to the side sometimes. I want this graphical bug fixed! Also, slightly more power dmg increases Shield use as an off-hand weapon for power builds."

    Flamethrower
-Flame Blast (Flamethrower 2) base damage and power ratio both increased by [insert percentage here].
-Flame Blast (Flamethrower 2) now correctly explodes when used at your feet.

    Spoiler

~"I miss the old power dmg this used to have but the condi buffs it received since then have changed what it's main focus is. Still, a decent increase to power dmg would be great! Also, woo bug fix!"

    Rocket Turret
-Rocket (Toolbelt Skill) moves 20% faster and now deals more damage the farther it travels.
-Explosive Rockets now counts as CC applied by the Engineer.

    Spoiler

~"A lot of skills have been changed to do more dmg the farther away the opponent is, so since this move is ridiculous to hit with at it's full distance, let's have a payoff for that long distance rocket! Also, unifying Turret CC changes to function with traits/runes/sigils better."

    Net Turret
*-Net Attack (Toolbelt Skill) now deals a small amount of dmg.
-Net Attack (Toolbelt Skill) recharge reduced from 38 seconds to 35 seconds.
-Electrified Net now counts as CC applied by the Engineer.

    Spoiler

~"Having the Net Attack deal an insignificant amount of dmg allows for potential aegis counterplay I guess. Also, rounding out the cd to 35 is a nice tiny buff. Also, unifying Turret CC changes to function with traits/runes/sigils better."

    Thumper Turret
-Rumble (Toolbelt Skill) recharge reduced from 38 seconds to 35 seconds.
-Thump now counts as CC applied by the Engineer.

    Spoiler

~"Again, 38 is an ugly number so nice tiny buff here as well. Also, unifying Turret CC changes to function with traits/runes/sigils better."

    Throw Mine
*-Mine Field (Toolbelt Skill) recharge reduced from 17 seconds to 16 seconds.
-Mine Field (Toolbelt Skill) now places mines in a circular pattern around the Engineer.

    Spoiler

~"Changing the toolbelt skill's cd down a second is just because 17 is an ugly number lol. Having Mine Field be a consistent pattern around us is a quality of life buff that'd be nice."

    Utility Goggles
-Detection Pulse (Toolbelt Skill) now applies 5 vulnerability for 8 seconds to 5 nearby foes.

    Spoiler

~"Detection Pulse doing nothing for PvE is still very strange. This brings back some of the old Analyze to it so that taking Utility Goggles for PvE won't feel so bad."

    Slick Shoes
-Recharge reduced from 40 seconds to 30 seconds.

    Spoiler

~"I hardly see anyone use this so let's buff it and see how it does!"

  6. Honestly, if you're a Holo, most of your dmg comes from Photon Forge anyways along with whatever kits you have so it leaves your weapons more or less up to preference. Rifle's not a bad choice in that case. Leagues better than mainhand pistol, that's for sure ><
