I'm thinking of doing it that way round, and any other low-ish stuff, please tell me if I missed anything!What sort of order would you recommend and would this work out better?Thinking this way would "widen the base of the pyramid" and be a bit cheaper/less frustrating...don't want to turn up on a dragon and get one-shotted :P

I'm a complete newb, and after finding it, this thread is like a magnet to me, Well Done!Just hit lvl 80 on my Sylvari Mesmer, chosen on a mere oh they look good and that looks interesting secret spell and have utterly fallen for her :)I like to RP a touch and especially in clothing, haven't got much yet TBH but I will do and fell in love with what you did with @VDAC.2137 's UngolianteLooks magnificent and I need that skirt! The fourth picture is what hit me like a hammer, and we both have the same branch-like hair thankfullyNot good with Screenshot, fiddly stuff but I'm hoping you would not mind if I named and try and put pictures here, one mainly an image for the Art Nouveau style and colour palette, and others from film and tv series for style and personality hints so I will try. One thing though, the backpiece I love is Daydreamers wings, though please tell me what the leafy one you used is :)Palette:
The char. she resembles the most, personality-wise is Missy from Dr Who, a female version of the Master, manners of a Lady and a CoCo Chanel sense of TasteHoping these work, have not done this before :/Fingers crossed.

Hmm, that's a good point, I think I'll build up a small stash of alt weapons just to carry around and learn, going to come in handy sometimes right?Atm I'm trying to knuckle down and level up a bit quicker, I tend to wander off and explore, then go read wiki/here and sometimes find myself watching Youtube for hours with the game still running, getting to the point where I'm thinking Hmm, a mount would be nice and I really must try some PvP, not my thing, well I don't think it is, it may turn out I do like it, and I like the sound of WvW, roamer sounds fun :), dreading making the armour etc. though, never been a crafter really, might have to hire someone to do it, or tell me how to do it :PAh well, it'll all be done in a bit :D

Agree with both of you, made another Mesmer and boosted that one, played for about an hour and realised I did not have a clue what to do/where to go etc so that one's going into storage, back to lvling up the original one now, oh well, live and learn eh.Lol, I couldn't even work out how to get a raptor/become a mirage! :P

Hmm, must have been really tired last night, I bought both expansions and as a complete newb, as free to play I chose Mesmer as it sounded interesting, I usually go Mage, I like zapping things.I must say that I did want to play the char up to lvl, to really get to know the class etc, might do a variant just to try it out.
Again anymore tips welcome :)

I'm still a newb, playing 3-4 weeks so far, got to about 35 but want to join in more Guild stuff and try everything out, so I'm planning to use a boost on Friday but need some advice.Did the Trial for a bit, but could not use the specialist class, what will I need to do to unlock it or can someone link me to relevant bit on Wiki etc.Would like a mount, what entails qualifying for one or a quick for dummies linkHave the recipes for my builds armour/weapons, do I have to make it or can I ask someone else, supply mats etc?Anything else as a priority as a fresh, bumbling lvl80 I should get done Asap?

I'm a new player and deliberately playing my char. from 1-80 the long way to learn properly.Of course, I want a good, strong build to aim for and have fun with!
