  1. In all honesty, I recommend making a big break from Ele and move to Guardian, Engineer, or Necromancer.

    It gets very, very, very tiring and exhausting trying to fight for a spot in group play (instanced PvE and WvW).

    Endurance has been depleted...

    I myself have moved on after playing from the start as an Ele, and let me say, the grass is not only greener, but so much smoother.

    Park the Ele at a chest and move on. Perhaps it will come back in the span of 2-3 years when no one plays it.

    My recommendation at least.

    August 2

    As we mentioned earlier this week, we’ve added a follow-up balance update to our schedule for August 2. For that release, we'll be looking at addressing warrior banners and chronomancer’s relatively low damage output through chronomancer-specific traits and increasing the damage on core weapons (like the treatment ranger is getting today). Once we’ve released today’s hotfix we’ll move onto planning the details of this update.

    Update: We have received communication. The follow-up is scheduled for August 2 and it does contain substance.

    Thank you Grouch for communicating with us during this wild time. With your assistance, recovery is underway.

    That follow-up is probably just for fixing bugs.  Rest of it definitely staying until Oct. - Nov., they made that pretty clear...

    Perhaps, perhaps not. In my view, bugs =/= "critical issues", otherwise they would've directly stated bugs.

    The "critical issues" that are echoed by many:

    * Warrior is a dead profession now;

    * Elementalist is borderline unviable profession;

    * Ranger is borderline playable profession;

    * Engineer is hyper overpowered profession;

    * Guadian still has monopoly on aegis and stability.

    (and the list can go on, but the point is clear...)

    To those confused, I do not mean the "mid-fall" profession update, but the follow-up mentioned here.

  5. Now that Pandora's Box has been opened, it's appropriate to say that by gauging the community's response, no further time is needed to "evaluate the impact of the changes".

    (Yes, data and results can be obtained within a day; in fact, results were predicted on preview release, shocking.)

    A) Warriors have died in the meadow, not the battlefield; because carrying all those banners back-and-forth made them miss the action;

    B) Elementalists had finally thought they could be given scraps to be included in the battlefield with Heal Tempest; only to be gutted and replaced with qCata; only to once again be starved and left to rot in the shadows (but alacTempest though; yeah....no....);

    C) Engineers now solidify their partnership with Guardians and Necromancers to lead and plan GW2 dominance;

    (The other professions are not forgotten, but I just didn't want to stress anymore; clearly doesn't seem to be utilized.)

    More importantly, and quite sad, this patch overshadows the success of the HT CM (survived day one, amazing!) and the new legendary Mordy variants...

    So since it's already added to the release schedule, please do tell the community, when is this follow up balance update coming to revert this sad patch?

    Thanks.

    Also.....other quickness applicators were in no danger. The amount of utility Firebrand and Harbinger provides.....Catalyst simply can't outdo it.

    100% true. This needs more emphasis for the Developers in the back.

    Firebrand. And. Harbinger. Were. Never. At. Risk. For. Quickness. Replacement.

    Maybe when Catalyst can provide Aegis, things will be shaken up.

    Aegis on Catalyst when?

    This part creates a sense of doubt for me, as Firebrand and Scourge are exactly what this part describes and yet, they hold dominance without a shift in the overall metagame...

    I'll believe it when I see it, until then, to shreds you say.

  8. It is a mistaken thought to state that players are not aware of communications, but rather acknowledging the low frequency of said communications giving them a reputation of being absent or neglectful. If anything, this thread may have very prompted the communication as it's the first communication to this effect since EoD launch. You're welcome.

    Regardless, I just wanted to make sure those who QQ'ed about players needing a healthy stream of communication catered to them understand there is a disconnect with frequency and leads to a polarized player base, which they are obviously not aware of that is happening.

  9. To ANet Profession Developers (Skills, Balance, etc.),

    Isn't it shameful at this point that the majority of the players describe you as absent or neglectful?

    Without the players, there is no game. It's a pretty straight-forward equation.

    With the previous beta releases for the new EoD elites, although scarce, there was still attempts of communication by you.

    Now with the EoD release, only the sound of silence is present.

    Yes, the forums can be filled with noise and must be filtered when topics are not focused properly.

    However, when commenced by you, there are many attempts and examples of players who are crafting great suggestions and feedback.

    When this happens, the community rallies behind each other, but you? Yes, sound of silence until another "great" patch.

    The morale is utterly low across all game modes. You probably don't care, but us players will still try to remind you.

    Best,

    But you're going to reward them by engaging with their sales?

    Well, my anger is not blinding me to see that GW2 is still a good game overall and I want it to still be alive.

    My hope is that they will see a massive drop in playtime for the Ele profession and try to rework it entirely. (I know that won't ever happen.)

    In the meantime, as Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth said, and I quote, "To shreds you say..."

  11. After a very long, dry wait; us Eles had only 2 weeks of happiness.

    Pour one out for Catalyst.

    So what class are you Eles re-rolling to now?

    Heal Tempest enjoyer? Go Heal/Support Mech.

    Fire Weaver enjoyer? Go Vindicator or Harb, less effort.

    LET'S GOOO!!!

  12. Edit: Not a real bug. I was not on the Tempest line when trying to change the warhorn skin. Ensure you are on the correct trait line and equipment loadout before attempting to change the skin.

    Hi,

    I am unable to change the skin of the off-hand warhorn on my Elementalist without buying a new skin and double-clicking from the inventory. (I don't know if this is just an Ele problem or not.)

    When I click on the warhorn inside the Wardrobe panel, the message "You can't apply a skin to an empty slot" appears.

    None of my unlocked warhorn skins are shown in the panel.

    The only work-around I have found is to re-purchase a skin and double-click from my inventory.

    This is problematic for skins that can't be purchased.

    Additionally, since I have a legendary warhorn, I can't remove it from the Armory and change its skin either.

    Please fix this bug.

  13. Time duration does not help. I've scouted lengths of maps before dismounting/being dismounted and bug is present.

    Also, if you happen to see enemy coming in distance, mount and start moving (about 5 seconds reaction time), then get lanced, yep - can happen too.

    This has been my experience.

  14. Hi fellow Elementalists,

    I come to request this player-base's support to finally get the Warclaw skill glitch fixed for Weavers.

    What I ask it to post on the following thread and keep bumping it so that it sits close to the top:[ https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/72619/wvw-pve-warclaw-and-other-mounts-weaver-bug#latest ]

    The glitch is inconvenient in both WvW and PvE, and I just became extremely aggravated when I was lanced and didn't have my skill rotation that I setup prior to mounting.This happens far too much, with high uncertainty, and needs to be fixed.

    So please, make this Holiday season great and support this cause!

    Thanks!
