After additional research, some players are using a workaround that seems to be working for those who were having trouble downloading the latest patch. If you could, please try the steps below as a potential solution:
Method 1
Right-click the Guild Wars 2 shortcut
Go to Properties
In the Target field, add a space and paste the following string after the last quotation mark: -assetsrv origincdn.101.arenanetworks.com
The full Target should look something like this (note the space after the quote): "C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe" -assetsrv origincdn.101.arenanetworks.com
Click Apply and try loading the game from the shortcut icon you modified
I can confirm this has helped me and finally I am able to download the rest of the game...
