On the other hand it is worth getting the blood ruby ring, amulet and back since the stats can be reset cheaply. For the cost of some unbound magic and an inventory slot you can have the equivalent of a legendary ring, amulet and back item for much less cost and effort.

Thanks, Blood ruby sounds a good option. Not much for grinding in general though, why I was looking at achievements as I see them less as a grind (gather x of y) and more just a long quest 😄.

I was more interested in the item its self than its skin. I'm poor and was after a nice chilled solo way of getting ascended items on multiple chars.

might sound a stupid question but are rewards form achievements like "Rare collections - Luminate's backplate" a one off? What if I want it on multiple chars?

[Where's the official response to the download/launcher being utterly broken issue?]

Just want to say Mannah.4012 solution worked for me. The game downloaded to the playable section then every time a ran the launcher it would say it was downloading data (MB) but the % would not move and the file number would reduce be only a few, also after 20mins or so it would just stop downloading all together. using the assertsvr command line to force the origincdn.101.arenanetworks.com server fixed the problem.

However i'm unsure why the default server causes this issue and must agree with the OP in some respect that i'd of thought Areanet would of addressed the issue/comment on the work around
