FIX:
renaming the gw2-64.exe in the main folder helps it launch.

I tried that and was a negative for me. Tried Game Mode off, too. Negative. I'm glad you're up and running again. Too late for a refund on the pre-order, lol?

I tried turning off Game mode and still get the stuck only reboot or log off gets my PC back. Does anyone know a way to edit a file or change settings to get out of full window mode?

I might have a fix, in windows 10 turn off "windows 10 game mode"
You can search for: Game mode
and should find it.
Still Anet should really fix this so we can run the game with Game Mode ON. 🧐They should award you something for that find - good catch. I will try that.

Upgrade = such not working game. Reboot = still such not working game. Did anyone test this before they rolled it out? Is it April 1st yet?

It only closes on Lion's Arch. I could be on a heavy event and it hums along. I checked CPU and in other maps it's around 85C (liquid cooled.) GPU is at 72C. Utilization is only 70% in LA. Maybe data corruption issue on the map. Does anyone know if there are any debug logs for the game? I'd like to check that for possible errors.

no dice - tried both methods and is still loses it's gourd in Lion's Arch.

I have the same issue when I go to Lion' Arch. Game crashes often there. It's also given me the Light Blue screen of death a few times. Removed the game, reinstalled it. I don't get the system core dump, just game crashes. I don't get it on any other map. I'll try repaIr and prefreset to see if it helps.
Decided to Return to GW2 - Convinced Others to Join me - Game is Broken and won't launch?

the only way I was able to get it to work was to force -windowed when running the exe. It's on a laptop, so it's pretty lame to run a windowed screen on an already tiny screen. Probably just come back in Dec. Nothing to play for anyway
