tbh what weapon are u expecting?.. longbow or greatsword have been demanded massively.. and Ele is in need of a new Ranged Weapon far more then a Melee one.

theres no reason it has to be a Longbow to be ranged We're seen them create Ranged Weapons out of things like greatsword before.. it can be done again.
Well i not think that bow will reflect the feel of a mage class. I just dont fell it in the elementalist. But if they really let us finally get the range combat, i like more the idea of a magic greasword like the mesmer, with unique moves. But i honestly think that the magic GS will go the revenants, with a dark legend, and if the elementalist will have a dual weapon will be the bow.
Sorry if the english is bad. Trying the self-tought.

Man, between a expantion and a farm, farm and farm again event i already know what to pick up. I never liked the gw2 events.

Overally if that's not "either or" kind of deal, then I don't have anything against it, except maybe for the fact that most people would play through the story once and never repeat it again, at which point I don't think it's worth the time and effort to suddenly rework those encounters to fit single player combat/mechanical capabilities. I don't see how that would help with keeping the raids around -if someone's interested in the story/cutscenes, pretty sure they can check those on youtube. If someone's interested in gameplay, they should start trying to get into raids. If neither then what is this even about 😜
Except to the fact that ppl will not doing raod for story. They even wait the dialogs.

I would love a story mode from raids. In the game Aion we have a similar lore with dragons to, and there, we deafeat the dragons in raids. But also we have a preaty easy fight in the story mode to. This need to come to GW2.
I like to think in a five man run for enjoy with friends to. Something like a dungeon mode. They already have the contents, they just need a few manipulation for casual players enjoy this content to. Of course, not with the same rewards.

Ohh this is what i expected for a elite EoD. A based Char elementalist, the shaman, wielding a torch, and specialized in mantras ou runes. I'll be glad with high AoE like scourge or a great range projects. Not bow please.

I think all the point is, we choose elementalists because we like to play as a mage. We like to be a mage, why the f*** they do a duelist class? And of course, the problem that we dont have a good range weapon. Force a mage plays in melee for do something.

I always played mage class in MMOs, but here, i confess that dislike much. Even have fun with it, but thinking its not functional at all. The build above is very specific for open world, but u need a total focus build on dps if u will play in raids or fractals tier 3 + and of course CMs. I dislike for the same reason that u point in your opinion, force a glass class on melee combat.

U know they can easily change a name of a spec, right? A experimental version is not mean that they will implement everything in the test. They can easily hide the real names for a lot of porpouse.
