Sorry lost to many fellow players when builds people took time to build were nuked. For those of us in Leggo gear its not a big deal. To those that are in Ascended and its not just a quick flip over, no that's not a good plan and wouldn't advise that direction.

You already hinted at another huge problem.
    gear gate keeps fluidity.

can’t have your cake and eat it too lol.

I've pretty much stopped playing at this point. Went to FF14 while I hope GW2's balance team gets their kitten together.

They won’t. Just take a look at the instant reflex “ buff”

evasion on an elite skill? Either anet is trolling or all the devs play guardian, engi, and necro.

  3. Sites like metabattle and snowcrows show you ascended gear because that’s what’s best in slot. The only thing that’s important for you right now is the stats on the gear, the stats on the weapons, the sigils, the runes, and the build.

you can do all content with exotic( orange ) gear. Don’t stress about having the best gear right now because it really doesn’t make a difference.

The beauty of guild wars is that this game is horizontal. There’s no right or wrong way to go about things. What you should do first though is make sure you have the hero points to complete your first elite spec. I recommend unlocking daredevil first as it’s the most beginner friendly and can clear all content in a relatively easy manner.

Imo people probably complained because repeatedly reviving the lord just feels kind of unsatisfying, like you should have won but cant finish it. functionally it leads to longer fights but thematically it would feel bad. I think from reading this thread, people dont mind having longer fights but it needs to feel right.

Taking from planetside, you could rework the castles to have multiple small objectives with weaker lords defending them, so that the majority of points need to be held and a bar fills up to take the objective. That would require a full map rework though so just wishful thinking here.

this would require anet to not be lazy.

theyd have to do more than read the wiki to accomplish this.

Speaking of neglect you seem to be neglecting a few important details.

Such as for WvW not too long ago they made adjustments to the pip rewards slightly with the outnumbered rework and in the process of going throw beta phases with wvw restructuring and alliances as we speak. So there is known activity in their deveolpment there with recent blog posts outlining clear direction for a few future changes.

Dungeons is a depricated mode as iti was discontinued after launch basicly so its slightly unfair to bring that up but even on this front. They recently unified the dungeon currencies making it easier to interact with the dungeon reward structure.

Fractals: recently had a major adjustment to its instabilities which overall has toned down less fun instability combinations and improved interactibility of the instabilities.  While the reward structure hasnt been updated its not like fractals are suffering in gph.

Raids:  Recently had the emboldening system added on rotation to help insentivise people to give raiding a try and get new people into the content type while also having the double gold raid rotating weekly rather than staying stuck on wing 7. In addition they made changes to CM rewards granting repeatable weekly rewards to completing raid CM improving how rewarding raids are overall when doing CMs. Also there was the additon of the weekly 10 mystic clovers to the Raid reward npc.

Strikes: They improved the gold reward for completing EOD CMs and added a new infusion to the drops of CMs and can be obtained also from completing them all once.

On almost all fronts they have been making adjustments and improvements to varying degrees to the adformentioned game modes.

    my man.

almost everything you mentioned could be done by a blizzard intern off  the clock.

theres nothing innovating or reinvigorating about changing instabilities. There hasnt been a map in 700 plus days

pip rewards for wvw? outnumbered changes? again bro those are super small adjustments.

cmon man. an infusion reward? now i know this is a troll post.

In my opinion GW2 often does world bosses and metas poorly. By designing a game where things like dodging and timing defensive skill use are integral to success while simultaneously spammimg so much visual noise that even seeing your foe can be a challenge they have created an environment where this sort of content is frustrating at best and migraine inducing at times.

I prefer instanced content because not only can I see the enemy, I can see my friends' cool characters too. Also, in 5 to 10 man content, I can have a sense of my own contribution to our group's success. In large scale open world boss fights, generally,  I know that if one player just stood nearby and did nothing at all the outcome would be no different than if he played his best. If his contribution is effectively zero, no matter what be does, then what is the point?

For some reason Anet hates instanced content, even though its the most successful and enjoyable content in the game.  They have so many avenues as well to have really good instanced content through dungeons and fractals but they just dont care.

I mean guys stop being dramatic. There is population playing Spvp at any given hour (specially at prime hours), obiusly its not league of legends and will never be. The influx of new players will benefit that even more.

Second yes, they should give more love to Spvp with new conquest map, changes to stronghold and even new pvp modes! but lets see after steam/lws1 and wvw restructuring.

Lots of other things you say are false, strike rewards have been improved, core stuff has been touched. And some are true, but still. They had massive layoffs, EoD delivered a good experienced and no other expansion bringed raids/fractals on it. So wait for LWS6 to see.

in spvp at the plat level im playing against the same 10 people. theres a massive number of bots too. The rewards and maps havent been touched in ages my man.

and even with alliances, its been over 2500 days since theyve changed the maps and the rewards.

only reason strikes got changed was because they dropped the ball on release and it almost backfired. Anet still has a huge struggle with keeping up with genuine updates to the game.

You can assume. I'll just keep laughing at your assumption. No, I don't spend 80% of my playing time running two jumping puzzles, four metas, and repeating EoD story.

I do much more than that, and I'm not upset. Nor should I be.

ill assume you dont do fractals, WvW, raids, or spvp. Because if you did youd be pissed at how neglected they are.

    Honest question here:

You can only do the new CM strikes once per week?

You only get rewarded once a week.

So on paper you could do CM's daily, but you get no reward for doing so. essentially its a sunk cost.

had they just made CM's a daily reward, more people would do them. It just hurst the players who want to do harder content outside of Meta events.

Circular logic?  People don't play the modes because they've been neglected.  Anet doesn't put a lot of effort into the modes because people don't play them.  Repeat.

but how hard is it to add a fractal map?

or update the WvW maps which they claim are a core part of the  game.

you can only run Meta trains so much before you want to move on to other content. All im getting at is that the other content is dead. This game used to be 10x more than running a meta train.

Have you considered that they are spending resources on parts of the game that the majority of people actually play? Why develop a raid for the 2% that run them or new WvW maps for the 1% that plays that regularly? GW2 is more popular than it's ever been and you're making it out like the devs have failed.

Anet devs have also said that WvW is a core part of the game for gw2. yet it receives zero updates like 80 percent of the game.

New story. New maps to explore. New jumping puzzles. New achievements to hunt down. New strike missions with challenge modes. Nine new elite specializations. New mount with a unique style. New armor sets. New legendary weapons.

I'm content with it, but maybe I'm just the targeted audience... 🤷‍♂️

im just going off what you said here.

New story: playable at least once.

New maps to explore: so 4 zones with 4 metas

New jumping puzzles: theres only 2 new ones.

    New achievements: Reasonable

New Strikes and CM's : CM's are once a week.

    etc etc

so im just assuming from the above that you spend 80 percent of your play time running 2 jp's replaying the story, and doing the metas on repeat.

because if you did more than that, well you should be upset with the lack of content in other modes.

  14. Ill make this short and sweet.

Spvp is neglected. Win traders run rampant and the player base is non existent.

WvW: alliances were announced 5 years ago. and they still cant deliver. Last wvw map update was 2489 days ago. Rewards are outdated and the mastery system is also severely outdated.  Core part of the game being neglected.

Dungeons: no dungeon updates or reworks besides adding gen3 skins to dungeons.

Fractals: last fractal map was 700 days ago. Since then weve seen zero fractal updates, zero fractal reward updates. Neglected.

Raids: No new raids with EoD. Build Diversity is at an all time low due to afk builds being meta.

Strikes: Strikes are fine, the rewards just need to be tuned.

We as players shouldn't be content with how much of the game is being neglected.
