  1. Since the latest patch on 3/19/24, the icon for the Warlord's Armor Box does not appear when the Box is in the player inventory or bank. This is the chest players earn after completing the Bronze Chest Reward from the WvW Skirmish Reward Track.

I can still move the item, but the inventory slot has a yellowish hue instead of the chest icon. I have tested this across multiple characters and after logged out/in.

  2. Dude, you have played 18k hours. Of course it's going to feel repetitive. I bet you got at least 100 good hours out of the expansion. For my money, that's worth the price of admission to this expansion. Try not think of this as the only game in town, go enjoy other games and hobbies, and come back when new content is released. I take about 6 months off every year, and every time I come back I am amazed at how fun the game is, and how much I have to do in order to catch up.

Edit: I don't want to invalidate your point. I agree with a lot of what you said, but doing Metas and crafting for fashion is the core game loop of GW2. Again, that's why I recommend everybody take time off or at least enjoy other hobbies/games to prevent boredom.

  3. Leveling from 1 to 80 by exploring this huge open world was one of the best experiences when I started playing 10 years ago. You can't replace that experience, and you will miss out if you boost to 80. You also learn a lot of basic mechanics as you progress. After your first 1-80, boost away!

if you block someone, you should not be able to message them....

if you are set to invisible, you should not be able to send whispers.....

if you message someone and THEN block them, they can still respond for 60 seconds (this discourages the practice altogether as people won't want retaliation)

But why would anybody message a person and immediately block said person? Most talking in PvP happens in map chat except for the rare person who sends PM. Moreover, why even reply to those troll PMs? I play PvP every so often, and have never received a PM I felt needed a response.

  5. Some classes better than others, whether you have damage/boon meters or not. The only difference is that ARC and other tools allows us to quantify the difference. But most raiders/fractals players don't care about benchmarks as long as you are decent and know mechanics. When I am commanding, I don't call anybody out for low DPS/not performing role except when they need to be called out.

  6. Jumped in PvP for the first time in years because of this achievement. I played a couple of matches, I wasn't very good, my teams lost, but I had a good time and I'm looking forward to trying again later. I'm glad this achievement encouraged me to try something different.

Lets be real - being better than someone who never does the content is not impressive.

If the pvp community was any good at all, if they had any skill at video games... they'd be in another game with an active pvp playerbase measured in the millions proving it instead of demanding pve players be pushed and pushed and pushed to queue in GW2 pvp so they can feel good about being okay-ish among a playerbase measured in the hundreds.

I haven't played PvP in at least 8 years. I am awful at PvP. But I am not going to cry about having to play 10 matches for an optional achievement. My point is not about player skill, it's about shutting up and playing the game. In summary: nut up and play 10 PvP matches because nobody cares that you (or the OP) don't like PvP.

  8. Achievement tracker is not showing up during either story instances with Horrik encounter.

Also, I replayed every encounter with Horrik twice, and avoided all AoE cannon attacked and did not receive achievement. This was an issue when content was originally released 9 years ago (search personal_space_achievement_dev_clarification in the GW2 subreddit).

  9. Real question, do you play content (dungeons, fractals, WvW, PvP, etc.) with half of these people? Or are these guilds you joined for the buffs/benefits? Because that doesn't sound like a guild, and sounds more like mass recruitment for the purposes of recruitment. I've joined large guilds like those before, and I've joined small guilds. In my experience, large guilds are just a bunch of people who joined a guild for no reason but never want to do any content whereas small guilds play together. So I am asking, do you play with half of those people? If not, then why are in a guild with them? Expanding the number of guilds won't encourage you to play with more guild members, and thus serve no real purpose.

  10. In Chapter 9 of EoD, you can either complete the heart quest in the South (Speakers) or North (Jade Brotherhood) to progress the story. I complete the one in the south first, got the achievement Jade Shadow, and continued with the story. I replayed the story to complete the heart quest in the North in attempt to get the Brotherhood Saboteur achievement, but was not awarded the achievement. I replayed it again, thinking I did something wrong, and I still did not get the achievement. Both times, the achievement tracker was on, and as soon as I completed the heart quest it disappeared without giving me credit.

It's possible that I did not receive the achievement because I was controlling the Jade Bot when I completed the heart quest. I noticed that the achievement tracker disappeared while I was controlling the Jade Bot.

  11. My main alt is a Warrior. I really enjoy playing as Banner Slave in PvE or Tank in WvW. However, as I am going through the story line missions and general PvE, I am having a really difficult time staying alive or out-damaging veteran NPC mobs. Can somebody experienced recommend a good roaming PvE Build?

But in then end, Bangar and Smolder will die, Rytlock or Crecia will become the new Imperator of the Blood Legion while the other returns to Tribute duties, Ryland will join the PC guild and become the new chosen one (e.g. Brahan) for their species/race. Personally, I like the dark turn the story is taking - more interesting than the kid stuff from the main story and early LS seasons.

that "kids stuff" is actually quite important, we were the good guys fighting evil.in a grey world, ANYONE could be your next enemy...or friendyou are basically fighting the whole world to save.....the whole worldat that point, you are basically just a murder machine...GG

You're making assumptions about what I meant based on what I said. I didn't say anything about a grey world. My point is, the story line was predictable and boring, and the sudden change in tone makes everything more interesting. But to your point, GWs has always been a shade of grey - everybody is either an ally or an enemy, and your PC is judge, jury, and executioner just like in most video games. Flame legion- the PC has killed hundreds/thousands of them, and now some are allies. Corsairs - enemies then allies. Bangar - ally now enemy. Sylvari - ally then enemy now ally again. But in the end, I don't think any of us play GW2 strictly for the well structured story narrative. But I promise you there will be a happy ending to this Saga because most people want to believe they are always fighting for the 'good' side.
