Actually, there was only six weeks between launch and The Lost Shores (Nov. 15th, 2012). And only 4 weeks between launch and Shadow of the Mad King (Four Acts) with a festival dungeon, many events throughout maps; none of which is available now, so I would consider it 'Season One' content.
I admit that the border between the "Vanilla era" and "Living World Season 1" is quite blurred. To be honest, it is better if you put yourself your own border between the two periods.

For the most part I agree; there's only about three months' gap between release and the Lost Shores coming out. However, that period was when WvW was most enjoyable for me, as it started to nosedive very shortly after release; thus I'm happy to pick that option.
The question also includes your enjoyment in WvW and PvP. Do not feel restrained, even as a solely PvP or WvW player ;)

Dear all,
By adding this poll, I am interesting in which period of the game you appreciated the most Guild Wars 2. I am not talking about a specific point, such as the story or the introduction of a new feature (e.g. raids, masteries, jumping puzzles, ...). Each Living World or Expansion has profoundly changed something in the game, for the best or the worst, creating new adventures, new challenges, new events, and precious memories!
So tell me, since 2012, what was/is the best period of the game for you?
Which period of the game did you enjoy the most?

Yes, you are right. There is a natural bias in this poll due to the nature of the "Vanilla era" itself, as you described it. The accuracy is therefore low. However, I am aware of the fact that this poll may not be used to exactly determine which period was the best for all players. It is a very subjective question and I am satisfied with people sharing what they liked.
