I thought most people run Inspiration for the Focus cooldown reduction and distortion on Signets?

The point is that I shouldn't have to pick any trait line at all in order to have one normal, functional cleanse skill à la Contemplation of Purity with a reasonable cd that I don't have to remember to pre-cast and doesn't require a target. Just a button that cleanses a bunch of the aids Anet loves shoving into this game. It shouldn't be that much to ask.

The reason Mantras were effective in WvW roaming is because they had no counter play. Now with a cast time people can interrupt you, your best bet is to stealth or hide behind a boon or bubble like feedback.

I'd rather just have a good, simple cleanse utility skill with a moderate cooldown without the clowning around. Now in order to have that, I need to run Inspiration.

    Trying it and being helpful?
Hizen is not correct on the timings of the heals as he's not taking into account the cool down between the charges and the cast time along with the 8s CD but he is right about it being one of the best PvE heals where casting it is not an issue so you get over 7k every 11-12s. Nothing else really comes close for solo mirage builds.
Unless you want to provide alternatives?

I don't play PvE, only WvW, I log on for nothing else. Save me the 20 minutes and tell me if this is useful for WvW roaming or strictly PvE?

  4. Unlike with the server system where you can't control who joins it or not, and where you have to try to find ways to get along with people you don't necessarily like, the alliance system enables guilds to kick those they don't want in their alliance, or people who run the wrong, "not competitive" classes. Guild leaders will effectively be server overlords, and you will play with people you know so long as it pleases the bosses.

  5. Some classes can use skills to jump over gates or walls, and others do it with the Warclaw. Arenanet developers are super talented and there is no way they would allow these things to be done on their watch in their cornerstone game mode if they had not decided it was okay.

  6. I had no issue with the tagging until the mounts came along. Thanks to mounts you can easily tag a keep on any class without having to worry about getting in combat. Even if you manage to screw up to the degree that you get caught and killed, it's faster than ever to run back. In the olden days you could at least try to intercept the tagger unless they were a p/d thief or something, and discourage them from repeated tagging by killing them. That's over now. There is effectively no counterplay to it and just increases the already thankless workload of the scouts.

  7. I'll assume you're European since you didn't say "me and my friend."

Choose Baruch Bay. Not only do they have plenty of fellow gankers to "roam" with, but it's also a server that Anet cannot set as "full", which means any friends of yours wanting to join you later on will be able to do so just fine.
