The only way i can see it without destroying the class identity is by transforming Kit to something similar to elem summoned weapon, but with a lower cd and no pickup consumable.
But then the biggest part of engi are sad one playing kitless build because they find gw2 too hard to handle- 1

Photon forge not cooling down while being on a mount no matter the time waited.
Also weird interaction if you mount up right before an overheat
While playing with enhanced capacity storage unit, mounting up will instantly reset Heat to 100/150- 4

Yeah let's make conjure like kit but to make it balance let's remove Dagger as both mainhand and offhands. If it makes no sense because some build needs spe oriented MH/OH that's too bad that's the balance tradeoff for kit

I agree let's nerf kit and also remove the 2 damaging weapon engi can have it's too strong.
I wish kit had decent damage coeficient -
I love how this thread was about PVE but illetrate people came to talk about pvp and wvw 🤣.
Condi core can definitly deal as much as condi holo on certain encounter, on a golem optimal rotation is definitly easier on condi core than holo. On a real fight holo is much more fluid to play but i wouldn't say easier -

Good idea, with lags on so many maps i'm pretty sure GW2 will break records of bad review, + i'm curious how refund will be handled.This will definitly be a total shitstorm and i'm impatient to see it

Thunderlag peaks has been at it for at least February on EU server. Things got definitly worse when they "fixed" brandstorm last week, now you can realiably fail south meta because everyone is frozen for more than 60sec out of 90sec playing
From looking at how things are going Steam release might be the biggest mistake Anet ever made if the game is not finished/playable before it. It can even be worse because selling LS4 episode can be considered illegal in quite few european countries

Is really flamethrower a Pure Pdps kit tho ?In PVE it's only used in condi build.
About kits i find them mostly, badly design, let's take Scrapper heal, you'll take mortar only for his 5 skill, same for elixir gun.

engineer didn't change. Build wise Path of fire brings the holosmith (one new trait line + ability to use a mainhand sword and few abilities) wich is i'd say 90% of builds in pve

I won't agree or disagree, but i don't expect to see another build without at least 2 kits, so basically a new condi specs will be exactly the same than condi holo with 3 new mainhand spell.

There is no such thing as pistol engi, pistol means condi and a multi-kit build. So most of the time you'll be using your kit and not pistols.

I used to be against weapon swap for engi.
But let's face it kit are mostly bad. Not because piano build or whatever. Let's just take any Power build it always use the nade kit and you have no choice because you are lacking a weaponswap and therefore without a kit you'd lack filling in your rotation. Yet said kit brings nothing but damage 0 utility be it boon CC or mobility. So yeah i'd trade a nade kit for a weaponswap to either rifle or hammer everytime and even without the toolbet kit i'm pretty sure i wouldn't be losing any DPS and yet it would open a slot for another utility wich could give engi some adaptability in PVE encounter.
Engi's promise was a jack of all trade thanks to kit when compared to weaponswap at release. Nowaday it's the total opposite they bring no mobility no cc no boon and definitly doesn't give you a situational advantage on some encounter.
The medkit is a special case kinda since it's a healing spell and not a utility one.
