  1. +More item storages.

     

    I am completely overwhelmed with all the trash I got in my bags.

     

    Material storages need to be bigger like over 1000++ pcs. and also ascended materials need to go to storage automatically.

     

    Same goes for random quest and event items. There is way too much items I have absolutely no clue if I am ever going to need them, or do they have any value. Add button that cleans all stupid crap away at store or something, whatever.

     

    Also put black lion, mythic crafting etc materials in storage.

     

    Turn skin items into transmutation tokens automatically and add skins to inventory. Way too much crap in bags.

     

    Add extra dedicated bag slots for funny items like tranformation widgets.

     

    Add more global account slots for remote bank/revival etc items so you don't need to go shuffle your bank so often.

    Of course, it needs to be melee to do the bulk of its damage, but the way I've built mine, it has a huge Corrupt bomb.
    Well of Corruption -> Devouring Darkness -> enter Shroud for Weakening Shroud proc -> Shroud 2 for AOE corrupt -> leave Shroud for Greatsword 4 corrupt.
    Scepter/Dagger + GS, Soul Reaping/Curses.

    I think people are just so used to playing Reaper as a Power cleave spec that they forget how much boon hate it can have.

     

    No one who really cares about pvp balance cares about wvw balance. WvW has no balance to start with.

    I'll start here with an example:

    Dagger mainhand: rework

    it's not really used in any kind of Necro build. It's a utility weapon but in pvp modes the Autoattack isn't usable (low range with no real payoff. Its way too self punishing to go I to melee with dagger) and in PvE the lifeforce Generation of the Autoattack is the only useful utility.

    warhorn 5: rework

    If you use wh 5 you solely use it for the swiftness. The life Siphon and lifeforce Generation do not impact the gameplay at all.

    Sadistic searing - rework

    Make it more appealing to take on DPS builds over desert empowerment. 

    dagger offhand 5: update

    Speed up the animation

    Harbinger shroud: update

    Update so allies as well as enemies see the harbingers health bar while harbinger is in shroud.

    All shroud versions: update

    Remove the green border on the screen. It overrides the yellow border from boss mechanics

     

    That's not all the changes I want to see, but my top 6.

    I am not quite sure you have right idea how some items and feats are supposed to be used.

     

     

  4. GW2 necromancer is derived from GW1 necromancer, sort of. Like most of other original classes in original GW2.

     

    So there was orignally basically like 3 main builds with several variations:

    Condition damage semi-tanky build (damage over time)

    Direct damage glass cannon

    Minion master, somewhat tanky (minions do damage)

     

    Until HoT everything was somewhat okay. When PoF came everything went just crazy with all uber specializations.

     

    Necro gameplay was totally screwed with scourges that basically killed everything in ranked. They screwed even other necro builds so bad it was not even funny. You just pressed random buttons and people died even if you didn't know what buttons did. I know because I went testing few times and just smashed buttons, in ranked.

     

    I have not played for a while but I can imagine scourge train is still going on in pvp. I wish they never made that spec. Kind of same goes for some other totally overkill specs in pvp.

     

    Without scourge cheese necromancer was sort of balanced afaik do not know how it is nowadays.

    Minions work well against certain types of opponents but totally fail against others. Also sustaining shroud is extremely difficult against some professions. Also if they're bunkering their damage is like superlame.

  6. Nearly all professions can build on summoning skills/traits, it's part of the game.

     

    If your build does not work on  them, try some other build. Or profession. In general, high AoE damage wipes the trash pretty quick, that's why not many summoning builds survive mid fights.

     

    Sometimes there might be some need for balancing, but generally it has been fine even before gw2 release date. I'd say in general, summoning builds have not been very strong, especially outside pvp arenas.

    Funny enough all traitlines used to be good for either reaper or core necro but now there's almost no choice. And yeah this nerfed skill was much better before it was "buffed" that was actually big nerf in pvp. So yah I'm not sure if balance team actually knows what they do.

  8. Soul reaper nerf was kinda not asked for?? Not that I care even if I main reaper but don't really think it was that strong, mostly used to run other traits from that tree.

    They already kinda went into strange direction when they tried to "nerf" scourge but they actually nerfed reaper and core builds that relied on blind and chill. I am going to be mad about it forever. Core power necro was kind of semi competively playable before that which is funny. Now they're "buffing" core necro but all they do is think about that one staff spamming build and shaft everything else so yeaahh…

    Almost never. Maybe in premade group but generally many other classes do this job better.

    I do not think necros are supposed to be healers but think of it more like supportive healing while removing conditions, thus focusing healing power is kinda meh it's probably meant to be some kind of gimmick.

  10. tldr

    just my advice for newbies around

    it's not about tanking damage but avoid taking damage at first place, that's how this game works

    use fear, blind, shroud etc. to "block" damage and move a lot, this is basically where reaper excels unless they've broken the class in last couple of months.

    remember that your shroud is there so you can use it and kite away, rinse and repeat

    also personally i suggest playing something else than scourge unless you're just zerg leeching

    also try to figure out that wvw isn't really good place to get challenging pvp just go spvp instead, surely you can fool around in wvw but it's just that.

  11. you don't really even need to count difference is so obvious, if you want any gold go pve.

    this is something you need to figure out asap. wvw is not something you should do as your main activity. pvp in there is unbalanced and not very rewarding. it's something you can do if you just want to fool around but don't expect it to be fun on long term.

    if you like pvp go spvp, it's actually more rewarding in any way.
