Assuming you are starting further north at the first part of the chain with the escort?Events in GW2 bug. It's a complex code and things bug out randomly. It's annoying and things aren't always fixed fast, but almost every event bug fixes itself after a reset or when a fresh map starts up. The bugs tend to be caused by nearby events and escorts are especially prone sadlyEnded up logging out for a bit to change maps. Logged in and only had to wait a few minutes before the event happened.

But, you got it now so all good
Same crap is happening again but now with the deadhouse event. At this point I'm thinking GW2 is just a broken game that the devs refuse to do anything about!

I recently has this issue. I ran a traceroute only to find I had too many public open ports. To fix that, I let malwarebytes do a scan and remove anything it found. After that, everything worked!
Here's the link that tells how to run a traceroute:https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/201862998-Troubleshooting-Connectivity-Issues

Just respawned about 20 minutes ago, had to change maps

I checked the generic bounty page and the specific one (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Legendary_Corrupted_Facet) and can't find any information on respawn times. I haven't heard of a problem with the CO bounty board, so maybe the legendary ones take longer to respawn.
I would stay on the map you're on - changing maps may mean changing to one that has an even longer timer.
Over 2 hours later and still nothing..
-
@Hesione.9412 said:That information isn't shown anywhere. The rule of thumb I use is a maximum of half an hour since the bounty was last taken from the bounty board/it last despawned or was killed.
I've been at the bounty board for close to an hour, nothing has popped up yet.

Currently working on getting the griffon mount. What's the respawn timer for the Legendary Corrupted Facet bounty?

@Waffels.9748 said:Don't believe it's my end as it's only happening in Guild Wars 2.Arenanet has problems with their Amazon Web Servers that the game is hosted on.They even admitted having technical problems. So far it seems like it was my end. I apparently had a ton of open network ports that were associated with public IPs. I ended up having to run Malwarebytes to get rid of them.

You might consider adding your solution to the aforementioned thread.
I will, just give me a few days to make sure the problem went away. No reason to post, if it didn't work.

@Inculpatus cedo.9234 said:You can find tips/suggestions in the Dev-posted thread 'Storyline Disconnects'.
I suggest reading from last to first.
Good luck.
I actually might fixed the issue thanks to my guildmates on discord. Seems I had a ton of open ports that needed fixing.

As the title says, it's at random times and usually happens when I'm in an instance. Don't believe it's my end as it's only happening in Guild Wars 2. I should add to, that this only started about a week ago.

@Inculpatus cedo.9234 said:Well, that's an unfortunate default.
Hope everything works out.
Good luck.
So far so good. I'm just curious as why I was having mouse problems in GW2 and no other game I play.
-
@"Inculpatus cedo.9234" said:Hence, the 'try a different mouse' suggestion. It's often the easiest troubleshoot.
Perhaps, the mouse is still under warranty?
Good luck.
At this point, I don't even think it's a mouse issue. I think now it's a connection issue.
I ended up trying this.
If you're experiencing mouse lockups or failures, it may be because your computer is automatically turning off the power to a USB Root Hub.
Go to your Control Panel > System > Hardware tab > and click on the "Device Manager" button. In the Device Manager window, find the item or items labeled "Universal Serial Bus controllers." Open it, and double-click the first item called "USB Root Hub."In the USB Root Hub Properties dialog, click on the "Power Management" tab."Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked by default. Uncheck this box, and click "OK."
So far I haven't had an issue but who knows what the rest of the day will bring.

@Waffels.9748 said:I've only had this mouse since last August.Okay, then that shouldn't be the issue, you are right. Also, who takes apart a mouse when you can get a cheap one at the store?Ifyou have a cheap mouse, sure, throw it away (More plastic for the environment, yay! ;) ) and get a new one. If you own a gaming mouse, however, it doesn't hurt to carefully open it and clean it after a few years of usage (ifyou start encountering issues like that).Well I figured out the problem is my mouse. it's the USB connection, now I just need to find a solution to it.

As long as I have a working mouse, that’s all care about. I’m not picky on what mouse I use.

How long since you have disassembled your current mouse and cleaned the contacts?
I've only had this mouse since last August. the sensor on the bottom is cleared out. Also, who takes apart a mouse when you can get a cheap one at the store?

Yes some times I get the same mouse cursor lag and always have on multiple systems and mice its the game. To me it seems to be related to having allot (like a burst) of events at once that interact with the player character, some times its like it wants to force certain events to happen before allowing the player its next move. I suspect it has to do with player interaction and event ordering.
It's not even an event i was in. I was doing a story mission in the Ruined city of Acah.

Just a quick update. Switching from windowed fullscreen to fullscreen has helped so far. I'll update this thread if anything changes.

I'm almost thinking it's just lag I'm seeing, I just wanna be sure it's not anything else.At least check your settings in MS Windows for how mouse pointer are to be hidden when you are not typing (which impact games too), use a key to show a big circle around mouse when you can not find it on screen (it is an option in settings Windows for mouse pointer). Also make sure your mouse drivers are set up correct (if you use a gaming mouse or any mouse that have its own apps to controll settings for mouse like DPI).If you want real help here on forum give us information about brand and SKU (look under mouse where you usually will find this kind of information).Don't forget to tell us if you play GW2 in Fullscreen or Boarderless (Windowed mode is the same as Boarderless just it removes edges from being seen of Window for app/game). In Windowed mode (putting app/game above the surface of Desktop) it will use the settings from video card for Desktop (changing colours in video card drivers as an example will only have impact on apps that are run in this mode; not when run in Fullscreen mode and vice verse). This also have impact for how mouse cursor behaviour will change as when you move cursor over each app vs in when Fullscreen is active and its only game that have full priority from Windows (OS).To sum it up: we need more information if you want serious help instead of only blaming it on "lag".I mean, to be fair "lag" is usually the issue for most players.
I'm using a logitech m-u0026I'm windowed full screen--Just changed to full screen, so I'll see if that helps.FPS hangs around 60-65 and ping is 35

Mouse freezes and/or skips in-game. It's a wired mouse.

I might have a spare couple of bags in the guild bank too. Bags can be crafted by any of the armor crafting professions (I don't remember if the weapon crafting professions can or not). Crafting also grants regular experience besides just crafting experience, so that is another way to speed up leveling a character. Are you Thalasi?

LF for a casual guild. I'm currently on the world "Sanctum of Rall".

I'm already finding out that I'm needing to farm XP in lower level area just to keep up with quest levels.Couple pieces of advice - if you're part of a guild, make sure you grab the guild XP boost from the bartender in the guild hall. It's either a 10 or 20% XP boost, it's free, and it lasts until you replace it with one of the other boosts. Comes in especially handy once you start trying to train your masteries after reaching level 80 too. Second it food. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS be running a food when you are leveling. Depending on the specific food, that is an extra 10 to 15% bonus experience, though its generally only from kills. Still it helps a lot when leveling. Lastly, don't neglect to map complete the cities - Divinity's Reach, Black Citadel, The Grove, Lion's Arch, etc. Just map completing all the cities can net you up to 10 to 15 levels of XP, depending on your level.I'm currently unable to use the auction house ability as i'm locked out for a few days.
