[Canon explanation for disappearance of monks?]

its clearly stated in one of the gw2 books, the 1st time we see guardians, it states they have evolved from warriors, monks, and ritualists. I forget the books name but I believe its the one about the ocean and lions arch. The main character has a doll from his dead little sister and he was the first captain of LA or whatever they call it in game.

update: after completing the new living world scenario today, "a star to guide us" it looks like our little friend is truly on borrowed time. Without going into any big spoilers, besides one, so quit reading now.... ok you've been warned... she finally admits she is dying. She even wants to be able to go out and make a difference when she goes... like someone else just did in the episode. Won't say who so to not spoil everything. She's come to terms with her imminent death and just wants to die a hero. To make a true difference.

Now of course we can always try to save her. Or she might be smart enough to save herself. Maybe She will be magically healed by other forces (hint sylvarri), or maybe she will just fuse with her golem or become one. Who knows. But as of right now she's terminally ill and on the road to the afterlife. Will be interesting if they chose to save her, let her die tragically, or let her die a hero.

it was honestly the hardest fight in game, but once i changed my build it was super easy. I don't mind 1 fight in the whole game where I have to build change. That seems reasonable.

(had trouble as deadeye thief but switched to daredevil thief with double pistol and dash trait and just kited him and spammed 3)

[Not enough easy accessible Mastery Points in New Expansion [Spoilers]]

That first part is really the only place you will get stuck. I had a mesmer portal me to the first one on the second map entrance for my final one I needed.

After the vlast memory crystal questline they are super easy to get. Especially once you get the springer. Hop to it ????

I actually had the opposite experience. It was super hard on my deadeye I couldn't stay mobile fast enough.

Switched to daredevil (dash trait) and used double pistol and just kited and spammed 3 and he was then super easy.

Might be a good alternative strategy for any other thieves struggling with it.
