  1. I purchased a Medium Health Bottle from World 2 Zone 3's first shopkeeper, and the achievement for Major in enhancement is not showing the credit for it.  I cannot buy the item again, either from there, or from the other shop it is sold.   Purchasing a double health refill does not recognize the upgrade, nor does using one with either 0 damage taken, nor after losing 2 hearts and using one to heal that damage.

This persists after character swap, logout, and zoning bac into a SAB map

I am currently playing GW1 (just to get achievements in GW2). The mobs there are intelligent - they will instantly interrupt you if you start casting a spell, move out of AOE, will heal up constantly and will even revive their allies if they have those skills available.

After playing for a week or so the only thing I can say is that fighting intelligent mobs is miserable and disheartening.

Why, hello there, pull with 8 shiverpeaks menders.

I'm going to enjoy being able to kill 1 of you every very short window of time following spike Surges + landing every mesmer condition that can interrupt you and your friends for the 2 seconds it will stick

You and others have been crying for weeks. Maybe you should have waited until we got all the facts about legendary relics.

    I'll say this:

The way they want Legendary Relics to work should be how relics worked from the start (none of this new physical item that binds to character, takes up bag space, and requires you to go mash out 1-2 brainless SotO tracks for the same 2 relics for every character you play on an account [or playing the "collect the 8 situationally good utility relics for a healer" game]), and the legendary relic should let you skip those unlocks.

  4. I dont know who thought up the current design of Engineer Shortbow, but I can confidently say they are more likely to be fired than it is (because the bow itself is probably never going to see any use, see)

I cant say everything about it is poorly executed, because we dont know what the icons for the skills will look like.  It doesnt do anything its seemingly supposed to, it doesnt fill the niche a "ranged support weapon" could fill in the one place those three words stuck together would matter, and its probably worse at doing its job than mace and pretending your other arm was lost in a war.   It cant chain-react on a large or bigger sized hitboxes assuming your friends are not standing in said targets crotch.  This isnt the worst thing ever, because chain reacts dont really do much anyway.   Theres no proper use of positioning spinny gas canisters, theres no masterfully lining up chains to pop gigantic barriers or debuffs, you just go pew worse than anything else you have goes pew, and you do some mediocre secondary effects along with your worse-than-mediocre damage.

The positives of this weapon are that its design can be changed into something usable before its launch.

Do healers really need try and do damage

No.  You should Ideally be on Givers (or minstrels, depending) in instanced content, to allow for handling more mechanics, and eating damage.   And on fights you dont need that healing, you have a swap (or three. Or five) to a dps or boon support.

The difference between full defensive gear and harriers is nearly irrelevant in almost all instanced content, with some fractal situations being the exception.

    please explain more

If it touches water it just stops spawning essences.  Sometimes if it moves to NE spawn, it will charge to the water before anyone gets there.

Sometimes if its stuck on a rock it will just chain CC phases back to back to back to back until it charges again.  If it moves to the SW spawn, it can charge into the rocks before anyone gets there.

Sometimes in the last 25%, it chains Sorrow Barrage until it charges again.

Sometimes Sorrow just decides that instead of spawning its full compliment of orbs, it will drop 3.

Sorrow is just horribly designed / bugged at the moment.

Can you beat it? Sure. Can you beat it if it decides to touch water or a rock before 40% in phase 3? Probably not in a public instance.

Normally when I visit other game Reddit forums, most of the posts are composed of gameplay recordings, ~20% complaining about the game, and very few random posts or questions. But in gw2 subreddit, there's an overwhelming number of posts from new or returning players, sales updates, and comparisons to other games, especially to WoW. The blatant praise for gw2 in these posts feels very off. It's like they are describing a perfect utopian society where everyone's happy, there's tons of content, and everything's perfectly balanced. But whenever someone tries to start a discussion about the game's existing problems, they get downvoted like crazy and the replies are usually just telling them to quit or take a break. I think this pattern kindda got more severe after EoD update.

What reddit sub are you reading, because thats not even close to accurate for the one I've seen.

I mentioned this in a different thread, but AFAIK, the completion chests have never reset until the next daily/weekly cycle, so there was no reason to believe the chests would reset with today’s patch. But yes, the objectives not changing was definitely unexpected.

We've never had this situation before.   We havent had weeklies show a "I am resetting in X hours" timer that then didnt reset on that timer.

Following how events work, where you have a 1 day overlap that DOES actually function as a 1 day weekly, theres no real reason to assume it wouldnt fnction that way.

You ""lost"" 80 now (60 here), but you're getting 80 more than you did during every subsequent week from now on. So... tbh, whatever 🤷‍♂️

You're only getting +10 per week at best (its -10 in the case of only doing 6 weeklies).   Dailies give 20 instead of 30, so its  +60/80, -70.

    How did they get boned

If you did weeklies + dailies before reset, and you were spending it on 1g bags, you essentially lost out on a week of  currency towards getting the new items AND you lost out on the increased currency from weekly tasks (50 instead of 40).

Is it a big deal in the long run, not really.   Is it a big deal in the short term if you wouldnt have done those if the time remaining was correctly posted, or if anyone had clarified "these wont reset" in any of the places it had been brought up?  Yes.

For example, on NA servers where everyone else competes with each other not to go tier 1 for God's sake.

Theres a large debate raging in t3 right now if we should throw and stay t3 after most people get their weekly chests done or if we want to be pushed up to a tier we have about half the activity of.

The way WvW works right now just doesnt.

it still makes the claim that it can only be obtained through a gambling minigame factually untrue

The ONLY way these enter the world is through Sandstorm.

They are not purchased, they are not dropped, they are not traded for (via npc).  The only source of these is Sandstorm Lucky Draw rewards.

Something like mystic coins, as a counterexample, enter the world through Ley-Line anomaly kills, pvp tournaments, green shard trades, skirmish track tiers, daily fractal chests, fluctuating mass bags, story achievements, and mystic clover crafting

If Anet were to offer this as an option, it would be a very interesting idea indeed. If the price were reasonable, say in the $20-$30 U.S. range, I'd buy one or two myself. If it were in the  $100+ range though, forget it.

For price comparisons: Custom minis made through HeroForge will run you $20 for the absolute lowest end unpainted plastic figurine and $50 for higher quality painted plastic.

GW2 minis would likely not be any cheaper than that.
