Please log in first to confirm that you are still affected, as we have corrected this for quite a few people already.
 
Once you've been moved I'll drop a react on your post. After I do, relog or change maps and you should be where you're supposed to be. If you have a support ticket open, please close it once you have confirmed that your issue is corrected.

They have been trying to assign players to a team for 3 years now and the people in charge really can't sugarcoat the result anymore. If the central functionality fails in a game based on team play, then that's fatal! Since the first beta three years ago, it has obviously not been possible to get the basic functions to work. I'm very worried that the planned restructuring of WvW will lead to a huge exodus of players. Who wants to play WvW if you have to reckon with a 4-week forced break because you've once again ended up in someone else's team?

Agreed. I opened a ticket and got the same copy and paste of an unrelated issue that was resolved. Doesn't seem like Anet as even acknowledged the issue of people being assigned to the wrong team or that they're working on it. Very disappointing.

I'm getting the same as everyone else. Selected my guild for WvW in guild panel, still shows as pending, but was assigned a completely different team than everyone else.

I was assigned the wrong team as well from the rest of my guild.

I've been playing MMOs for roughly 25 years. I did the hardcore raider thing back in the "Golden age of WoW". Now I'm a causal gamer that bounces between GW2 and New World mostly.  I would love to join your guild. Sounds like a great group to play with.
