I disagree, since I don't think that my own example should be considered a JP. (I only included it to point to the dilemma - defining things like this is ultimately hard.)

If your example can't be considered as a JP,  then it is a plattform challenge.

It's only "ultimately hard" if you keep out flexible thinking and don't include subcategories/alternatives.

Interestingly enough, the wiki definition of a JP excludes your request since hall of memories is not in the open world. It would also exclude the ones in WvW as well as the one in the fractal lobby. It would, however, include the example I gave (vista in southeastern Diessa).

Then we remove the "open world" from the definition and everything is fine.

    New Definition:
    Jumping puzzles
are puzzles with platforming elements that require the player to find the correct route to the end of the puzzle.

There really are plenty of edge cases that are hard to classify as to whether they're a jumping puzzle or not. Plenty of vista or hidden chests require precise jumping that is everyday movement to some and impossible to others. Then again there are places that give an achievement for being a jumping puzzle but don't even offer a reward chest at the end. Then there is the question of where the line can be drawn between jumping puzzles and mini dungeons. Plenty of the later do require a lot of jumping, like Noran's safe room or Forsaken Fortune.

Like i said, those who are difficult to clasifiy just fall into the "plattform challenge" category which i also wish would be included in a list.
Rewards + Achievements are not included in the definition above.

This would raise the question of what actually constitutes a jump puzzle. For example some might consider the path to some vistas (like the one in south-eastern Diessa) a jump puzzle while others might have higher demands on what counts.

As long as there's no single definition of what counts, this seems like an impossible task to achieve.

The definition found in the Wiki is already pretty good in that regard.

Rewards and difficulty should not be the deciding factors to determine if it's a JP or not.

Also, a plattform challenge isn't necessary a jumping puzzle according to that definition.

Nontheless should they be part of the list in my opinion, since most players regard them as JP's anyway.

There are already non-achievement Jumping Puzzles in the Wiki list.

Probably the reason the PvP Lobby one isn't listed is because it has no name.  You could always edit the Jumping Puzzle article and add a note about it.

You are right but the name shouldn't be the deciding factor, since "Armistice Bastion" is also listed.
So naming it "Hall of Memories" should do the job just fine for now.

I was just surprised in general that i couldn't find a complete list which mentions every JP + Plattform challenge.

I would've expected it, since there are tons of JP fans out there.

  4. After looking at the list of jumping puzzles in the GW2 wiki, i realized that it only shows the achievement JP's.

But there are a lot more JP's in GW2 besides that.
Examples would be the one in the "Hall of Memories" and the secret one in Divinity's Reach (Salma District).

It would be great if there would be a list which mentions all JP's that exist in GW2 and not only the achievement ones.
