So what are you going to play then? I'm just curious, cause this will happen.

I'm out for a week, when I come back I'll finish FFXVI, then I'll play Baldur's Gate 3. After that there's a lot of games I want to play: Armored Core VI on 25.08, Lies of P 19.09,  Cyberpunk 2077 DLC on 26.09, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on 20.10 and Lords of the Fallen on 28.10. If I will have any down time between games I'll probably play something from my backlog (I've bought some games like for example Yakuza Games or Uncharted Games and still haven't touched them) or just play FFXIV.

  2. Well, to have a consistent and well-structured design manifesto you have to have a clear direction and vision for the game. Guild Wars 2 for the longest time didn't have that and it's hard to say if the leadership intends to stick with the current 'iteration'. Also, everytime you go out of bounds of your manifesto people are going to whine and moan and rage post and complain endlessly. The other problem is that I don't believe Arena Net is capable of sticking to their guns and eventually this manifesto will become absolutely worthless.

On the side note,  truth is, when you encourage bad design for years, you get a bad game.

  3. Title. I don't like Tomes having no cooldown. I don't like that there's absolutely 0 commitement to them. I don't like internal cooldowns. I don't like the activation bonus being irrelevant. I don't like Weighty Terms. I don't like how every other support class gets their kit overloaded because of Firebrand existance.

    P.S. Radiant Fire still sucks
P.S.2 What's all about the mantras design going back and forth. Just let people choose if they want to recharge them or not via a trait or something.

    Spoiler

I just wanted to rant a bit. Have a good day.

Thank you, you are a good man.

  5. Going into today's stream I was expecting that the design and balance team would look more into guardian problems and present solutions to at least a few issues the profession has.

My main gripes with guardian are that the power builds having several gameplay issues like aftercasts on greatsword, sword and focus skills and condition builds being tied to unreliable torch weapon. I was also expecting for the team to look further into Dragonhunter's bow skills and make some improvements to moment to moment gameplay; Firebrand's Tomes and some sort of solution to hidden cooldowns; improvements to Firebrand's spammy quickness application; some improvements to Willbender's offhand sword for PvE as well as the Willbender's alacrity build.

We didn't really get anything of substance in the guardian balance section and I think the presented changes are inadequate.

  6. *pros: huge maps, mounts, story, visuals, nice variety of mobs, gw1 nostalgia, small secrets to discover here and there, new elite specializations

*cons: lack of meta events, low AP to get, limited replayability, no armor/weapon colletions, missing insignias/inscriptions (at least let me buy anscended versions of gear or recipes after completing all Primeval Steward collections!)

*questionable: griffin mount behind paywall, balance of specializations, pushing condi play even further
