    Well, during testing dagger setups (d/s+s/f and d/s+gs) turned out to have better dps than those with sword only, even with reduced damage coefficients. So apparently the entirety of dagger kit being damage oriented, as well as dagger 2 providing solid blade generation is enough for it to pull ahead.

    You can look up threads containing graphs, benchmarks and logs with numbers in this sub. But tl;dr would be "spec into power". Condi is non-existent compared to mirage.

  3. It will use the setup very similar to DT pChrono with the exception of accuracy sigils, so berserkers and mix of assassins to crit cap. The ratio of assassins/berserkers in fractals will depend on the amount of agony you're going to have. There's also a high chance the dagger/sword + greatsword setup will become very popular. 

    As for marauders, I wouldn't really recommend it for mesmer in general, because it barely affects your over survivability, and you're not as squishy as zerker ele, for example, so most attacks won't straight up 1shot you.

    Any regular t4 group will have a support that will heal you and most likely provide stability and aegis, so extra vitality will just be a wasted stat. And if supports won't, or if you just facetank everything, or your group is bad, you will die anyway. And more advanced groups will cc and phase bosses quickly enough for you to not get hit to death.

    But it's not like the world's gonna end if you play with marauder's if you feel like that's your thing, most regular t4 enjoyers probably won't even notice it granted you are able to pull off your rotation and mechanics.

Although the synergies you mentioned are legit and are used in PvP and WvW, the issue is that neither domi, nor illusions offer a sustainable source of fury (on top of juicy dmg modifiers), which is very important. So for PvE you kind of always want to spec dueling, unless it's some specific encounter where you are short on might uptime but 100% sure fury will be covered by someone else.

    Do they expect me to just let them keep killing me or something ? Do they think there is a rule against going out of combat then re-engaging them, like the entire roaming world would be duels only or what ? 😂

    They probably expect you to not waste their time if you plan to keep resetting every time your hp drops low.

    At least in my opinion this is really annoying and counterproductive for both parties. If you need more than one ooc reset, then I'll just leave and probably whisper you "let's not waste each others time, ty". I personally roam to have decent engaging fights, not to play tag for 15 minutes. But to each their own, I suppose.
