  1. Hello there,

Sunqua Peak Fractal Endboss is doing nothing in Air Phase. Artsariiv is doing nothing after 66% CC phase. Silent Surf CM 66% Aspects sometimes tend to vanish really quick after successfully tethered (maybe it triggers the tether again if someone else stands too close to the archer). Does Toxic Trail hit harder now? Maybe there is more i haven't figured out atm.

So is this only blocked commanders or will it hide even if 1 out 9 in the squad is blocked?

There is nobody hidden in LFG but there could be something that makes blocked players visible. Let me explain how it would look like:

    Groups (e.g. fractals):

    Initiate/Adept/Expert/Master Scales xx-xx 4/5

Player A ( text white color)

Player B (blocked player; text red/black color or just [blocked:accountname]; accountname instead of character name)

    Player C (text white color)

    Player D (text white color)

    Notes:

    Language (Optional)

In squads it could look like this:

Commandername 9/10 (when commander is blocked it shows her/his name still below in brackets)

(blocked player account name in red/black color or just [blocked:accountname])

    Location

    Notes:

    Language (Optional)

So the idea behind this is to avoid players you don't want to team up with for some reason. There should also be a timer after multiple kickvotes which prevents a troll from joining over and over again.

    There are still rotations.

new recovered mantras are a nerf and the spec is by far the worst (already was) in PvP, to the point that even some core builds (including two core Guardian variants) are more powerful. than Firebrand.

Mantras are still good but they need atleast some brainpower now. Nobody said it's good in PvP.

Firebrand is enjoyable right now and rewind changes makes it even worse.

    PvE - yep

    WvW - yep

    PvP - nope

  4. The rework was meant to make firebrand more viable for WvW/PvP. In general you got more situational utility choices without waiting for long cooldowns which is pretty good for PvE too. Page managment has to be learned but once you know how it works, it's pretty fun.

It already has 30 seconds ammunition recharge not 40 seconds. It's no reduction then. I guess you mean 30 to 24 otherwise it doesn't make sense.

Why not in PvE too? To make Stalwart Speed more viable for quickness builds and Legendary Lore useless?

I calculated 49% critical chance with RHS. if you remove that you need to swap out dragons for more berserkers.

First of all core accounts do NOT have access to dragon stats. EoD would be needed in this case. The topic creator wanted a build for someone with core account. Berserker stats mixed with Valkyrie would be viable then.

You only need 40% critchance without boons etc.

Radiant Power +10% (via Burning on target), Righteous Instincts +25 (via Resolution), Fury +25%

There is no need for 109% critchance

You need to spam SoJ and SYG and all the virtues for full reso uptime.

You can use Healer's Resolution instead of Right-Hand-Strength too for additional uptime. Both has no impact on golem but in realistic situations when you use your healing skill it's more useful than Right-Hand-Strength while your critchance is already at max.

My friend has a free account and she only really plays 2-3 hours per week so she wont be getting the expansions. What's the best core spec for fractals? We're at T2 right now and she's using engi, which is not great bc it has high apm.

I'm leaning towards guardian with hammer and mostly signets. Second option is thief with dagger/dagger. What do you guys think? Any core specs that are better? Just wanted more experienced players opinions before we create a new toon.

I'll also probably just buy her HoT+PoF once it goes on sale, but for now, we're stuck with core.

    http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PWwAEx3lVwQYXsJGJO0L+rKA-zxYYhomD2GEyIojyo2UoiKw2phCzAAA-e

It's not with hammer but greatsword, sword/focus. Bursts with 4 and 2 on greatsword (if possible cast 2 into the hitbox of enemys to make all projectiles hit=more dmg), fill with autoattack, 3 and 5( 5 one time pressed = damage over time, 2nd time pressed pulls enemys affected by it (to cleave them easier)).

Sword 2 and 3 are good damaging skills paired with focus 5 4. Keep in mind sword 3 interrupts while moving, stand still if you can. Fill with autoattacks as always.

If you don't like weapon swap just camp on greatword.

Only 40% critchance is needed (without boons etc) because of some traits. Keep in mind burning increases the critchance by 10%. Resolution gives you +25% more critchance (greatsword 4 brings that boon). That paired with fury(+25 critchance) means 100% critchance. Otherwise 45-55% critchance should be fine too depending on your opportunities to gather gear.

Virtues can be used to obtain the 10% dmg boost because of the trait. (Inspiring Virtue)

Skill 8 is optional. I prefer "Advance!" which synergizes with the trait Unscathed Contender(more dps).

Healing skill is optional too but this is my preference.

Core Condition Guardian could be an option too. I guess carrion(power, vitality, condition damage) would be the best choice with an core account. Dire or rabid are viable too especially while ascended carrion trinkets are rare.

    http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PWwAs+xlJwQYdsKGJO8KarLA-zRIYb0xHGJVQXC4MLwcWBA-e

Very simple handling: Every third attack triggers burning via trait (do NOT use F1 or it's passive effect won't inflict burning when it's on cooldown), F2 and F3 can be used for +10% strike dmg or for usual purpose. Priory sequence: Purging Flames > Torch 4 (can be casted 2 times with Radiant Fire (trait)) >Sword of Justice, Scepter 2 and Sword 2 > Sword 3 > Torch 5 > Autoattacks. Use "Feel My Wrath!" if you don't have quickness or fury (Sword 2 gives fury too) or swap it with Signet of Courage. If you have problems with ground targeting use this: Option>Combat/Movement>Snap Ground Target to Current Target. If your Group needs more CC swap Signet of Wrath with Sanctuary (not shown in the description but it does multiple knockbacks).

Maybe take a look on core warrior if you like signets.

Same here. Already tried to fix it without success (clearing gw2 cache, flush dns cache etc.). I wonder if it's server sided because other players seem to have no problems(?). Could be something with drivers or specific hardware or windowsversion that doesn't run stable with the recent game update anymore. Anet should know what they did or not.

Death's Charge is designed as a gap closer/mobility skill, and it destroys projectiles in the direction you use it.

I'm not using it wrong. In open world i agree partially. But projectile destruction is totally garbage for instanced endgame content. Rather let other people use reflects to increase dps. For power reaper you want to use it near the hitbox to let all the strikes hit.

Since this thread is about PvE, it also has incredible synergy with your trait choices. It can potentially blind, chill, bleed, give vulnerability, and corrupt boons all in a single attack.

You are speaking about condi reaper or alternative builds. Power Reaper has no benefit of this.

What universe are you from? This skill never had an evade. You can check the version history.

Regarding your point though, necro doesnt need active defenses. It needs better sustain and mobility to maintain shroud defense.

indeed. checked all update notes. nvm this was a dream changed my thoughts but similar minded.

I joined 15k ufe groups which are rly toxic and instant leave with 1 wipe or mistake, by noticing they even dont know basic mechanics.

Why do you join 15k UFE groups when you have 3k UFE by yourself?

I also have experience with 2k ufe groups which went much more smooth.

I agree, but 2k UFE requirement doesn't mean all in your group have ~2k UFE. Some bring a lot more UFE. It's just a reference number no matter what. Arcdps doesn't lie. What makes a big difference is the strategy+DPS+boons...positioning, stay sticky (for example: HFB mantra radius isn't huge; if you don't care you won't have boons), bring enough cc.

Depending on your comp HFB should know when to pump out stability or aegis, reflects. Most people dodge to much. You can avoid many attacks by your movement/positioning. While dodging you waste DPS, maybe CC too.

PPl want to be carried by good hfb and alac without care about anything else.

Yes and no, because you can expect all boons you need for DPS + situational boons (stability, aegis) + reflects which means you can play your role as mentioned (CC is still a group thing). We have many short phases in fractals which means when DPS and CC is good too you (sometimes) don't have to care about mechanics. There is the difference between less experienced players and experienced players in fractals.

Requirements for Fractals CMs+T4 groups are different to casual T4+recs groups. Do you use killproof.me to make sure others know how experienced you are? Otherwise don't join groups with UFE(or UCE) requirements. Do you use Arcdps to compare your performance? If you lack in dps or boonduration, adjust your gear/build, improve your rotations, timings. When everything is fine, they won't find a reason to kick you.

That "easy" depending on instabilities but in general it's not the easiest instance.
