Some classes counter others, simple as that. I play berserk/scholar + illusions/dueling virtuoso and people still complain about it without realizing that many classes can combo my 16k hp in one combo or by landing a few conditions. Most condi bunker specs are far more effective and leave the player with much more room for error, yet you rarely see people complain about them. I think our good friend shion probably just had a bad experience with a virtuoso. 

[Respawn abuse in pvp arena?]

Non issue, just like with mounts in the pvp arena. Free for all is goofy and for fun and anyone who takes it seriously needs a break

[Virtuoso 1h Sword 3 is jank and buggy]

Anet really needs to do a pass on this ability. As it stands, it's worse than Mirage Thrust and miles worse than Illusionary Leap.

 

• Damage is good, hitbox is pathetic and rarely connects. Any elevation at all negates the damage portion.
• Return teleport is distance locked, beyond a certain point you will just teleport backwards at 600 range instead of "return to your starting point". 
• No buffer on re-activation. This is fine, but you are locked in the dash animation and remain stationary.
